Oh, by "gone" I meant "gone beyond recovery", as in unusable.Emerje wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Not likely. Hasbro was looking to reissue that mold back in the 10th Anniversary line and either couldn't find it or it was gone.Sculyblast wrote:How likely is a X-9 Jaguar (ravage) reissue?
I can really see that figure making or breaking the reissue line.
I wonder if they ever found it? They had only used it five years prior so it couldn't have been that lost. They moved factories at least once, maybe twice since then so there's a chance it turned up at some point in the last 15 years.
Let's also keep in mind that lost molds don't really mean anything anymore when Hasbro rebuilt the combining dino tapes just for a few exclusives. Where there's a will there's a way.

They were found in a Walmart computer.Overcracker wrote:I'd be so in for all 4 of those.Hopefully they do not end up being store exclusives.

Besides the Transmetal Primal and Megatron were the smaller Mega Class. Charging $50 for them now, even with inflation would be even more of a rip-off than the original Prime reissue from Walmart in 2019. Sure it was $50, but very few bought it for that price. Once it was clearanced for $25 then people started buying it.
I had the original TM Primal and Megatron. They were great toys back then, but definitely not worth $50 for a reissue today.

Coupled with the name "Vintage Beast Wars" evoking the "Vintage G1" line, this could very likely be the next set of Walmart exclusive reissues to come after Retro Headmasters.
Ultras were $20 in Beast Wars, while Megas (which TM Primal was) were $15.william-james88 wrote:o.supreme wrote:Based on price alone, I'd be more inclined to think this was the Ultra size Optimal and Megatron ( prior to Transmetals) I mean they were released as part of the 10th anniversary back in 2006. Was Transmetal Primal not sold for the same price as Ultra Primal when he came out initially?

Bumblevivisector wrote:Yeah, fix all the longevity issues they mentioned, and special attention to Rampage:
He's one of the most tragic cases of red-chrome flaking, I've heard reports of his legs inexplicably shattering, and those rubber treads you have to fold up into his claws then stretch around his wheel assembly ain't gonna' last forever either. Maybe they could even retool him so all his crab legs end up on his shoulder pads like on the show.
I haven't handled Magnaboss in years, but out of curiosity, do the Japanese and Korean releases of BWII Skywarp have GPS too?
At least with Transmetal Megs you have the Metals option. Since my rare-ish pinkish-purple-chrome variant broke, I've regretted not buying that Easter basket with the chrome-swap TM Primal vs. Megatron KO in Kmart 15+ years ago.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.
Seibertron wrote:AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Megatron and Rampage were my only GPS casualties. Each losing a leg. In contrast, Tarantulas and Waspinator haven't even lost a flake of chrome. One of the pegs on Primal's forearm also snapped at some point in storage. I don't really feel the need to buy any of these again though, to be fair.
By Rampage, do you mean his chrome flaking off? Rampage doesn't have GPS issues to my knowledge, just the paint flaking problem (which I fixed on mine by adding a layer of clear coat) and the rubber treads.

Spider5800 wrote:These HAVE to be the orignal ultras. $50 for the transmetal megas, which are just shiney voyagers, would be kind of outragous.
Nemesis Primal wrote:I haven't paid attention to anything surrounding the G1 reissues, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the very conspicuous presence of "GEN" in those listings mean that they're Generations figures/repaints? Or do the G1 reissues also have that? I know the Transmetal reissues were talked about by a leaker (even though I personally find that to be the least believable leak/claim so far), but other than that I don't see why we're all assuming these listings are specifically reissues and not just some sort of repaint line/subline like the 35th Anniversary Siege figures or the Netflix line.

You're right, 50$ for an old voyager sized toy is CRAZY, hasbro would never....

Except wasn't it originally supposed to come with trailer, trailer was dropped but price never changed? Its an exception, not a rule.

Yes it was crazy and I explained why when that toy came out. Of course the fact that it didn't sell until it was clearanced for $25 at most stores might make Hasbro think twice, or make Walmart hesitant to deal with Hasbro. Also there was the Soundwave and Blaster reissues that were more reasonably priced.
