They could have just given Grotusque a wolf head and a redeco and called it a day, but all sorts of details have been remolded again, making Fangry feel distinct from the first three uses of this buck or engineering schema. That’s quite a feat considering how distinct each of the modern Monsterbots already felt.

Absolutely this! I even saw a similar post on Twitter yesterday that started because someone didn't realize the Monsterbots were all mold mates. They found the matching feet odd.
I'm really looking forward to Fangry because of how fun the Monsterbots are.
Seibertron wrote:Yah they're lots of fun. I transformed the Monsterbots for the first time with Fangry's gallery. I love that they're so similar yet different. I'd love to see more things like this done with Transformers. I've always been intrigued with regular action figures and how they re-use parts, especially with the Masters of the Universe Classics line where you could buy duplicates of figures, swap parts and make other versions of characters (which was really well thought out ... i.e. Mattel made enough parts so you could make a 200X He-Man and Battle Cat).
With Hasbro having made two accessory sets now, I wonder how long until Transformers get alternate heads or hands like Hasbro does with Marvel Legends and GI Joe Classified?Seibertron wrote:aronjlove wrote:Wolfman Jake wrote:I’m stoked for Fangry. They are already doing this with Transformers RED, which is the Transformers equivalent to all those other lines. I know some people want actual Transforming Toys with alternate parts, but I don't see that any time soon.

They did try the heads with Titans Return; The Wave 1 Titan Masters (Nightbeat, Loudmouth, Crashbash and Terri-Bull) had original faces at first, before Hasbro nixed that idea.

I always felt like they really missed the opportunity to double dip with toy heads and cartoon heads. Or unique comic heads like Marvel Octane. I really want that head on an Octane toy at some point.
I forgot about RED. I have Soundwave and he is very nice but the material used feels a little off.o.supreme wrote:They are already doing this with Transformers RED, which is the Transformers equivalent to all those other lines. I guess technically every Titan Master is an alternate for the 'transtectors' or whatever you want to call the bodies. I did buy the Takara Legends head assortment for that reason.Jelze Bunnycat wrote:They did try the heads with Titans Return; The Wave 1 Titan Masters (Nightbeat, Loudmouth, Crashbash and Terri-Bull) had original faces at first, before Hasbro nixed that idea.

All found at Walmart so far.

Just a little detail, is all. The Decepticon "Headmaster Jrs." had them permanently visible without a panel covering them.

Yep, picked one up myself (they had three), glad that was the one I was holding out on. Three WWII Bees and six or so 2 packs are all BB figures that have been on the shelf since I checked last weekend (when they weren't marked down). I don't care what anyone says, this line sold ridiculously well in general after restocking several times.
