Urgh, that looks pretty bad in alt mode. But the bot mode is so good it might make up for it...

Also, is this the mold they're using for the JP-exclusive Nemesis figure?

Weirdly enough...I don't mind it. Maybe my brain's just warping it so it vaguely resembles the back end of some offroad rally truck's frame, to mesh better with the front end's bullbar. I've probably been playing to much Motorstorm, hah.

But the rest of it does look killer enough for me to not mind it. I didn't even mind Galvatron's rear hitch (or lack thereof) because of how clean the rest of it looked and how the robot mode result ended up.

Yeah that alt mode is anything than appealing. Though I don't display them in alt mode I still don't want it to be unsightly, and this one is. Bot mode is alright but not one I particularly like, but it is better looking than other Movie versions. That said I wouldn't mind this mold for Nemesis Prime as it looks different than my G1 OP and I was never into direct repaints depicting another Bot.

Good news is that they've already done that (ie used this mold for Nemesis).

Bad news is that it's Japanese exclsuive, tied to a really specific promotion from the sounds of it:

No, the exclusive Nemesis Prime figure uses the BB movie mold.

Have this one is bot mode and have the previous SS BB Prime in alt mode.

While I don't like the back, my main issue with the toy is that it goes out of its way to have the "fins" behind the exhaust pipes in robot mode but they are fake kibble because they dissapear for alt mode. And it's doubly unfortunate since those would have helped hide a portion of the kibble when viewed from the side.

I remember people complaining about the back of SS Bee Movie Prime's truck mode not looking clean. Eh, perception is in the eye of the beholder or something like that.

Compared to the previous truck, it wasn't that clean.
Then came those who just didn't gives a fuk like SS AoE Galvatron and that Optimus.

It isn't clean, but this one is worse

If it was ment to be a clean looking truck in the first place I'd be annoyed by the back, but with the given design I'm perfectly fine with the way it turned out.

got my preorders in for that prime, and I am looking forward to him. Pretty amazing how different he ends up being from the BBM Prime.

Also, I really appreciate the sword on this one, given it can go forearm or hand held

Managed to win Fangry. He's pretty nice, although I'll probably be getting the upgrade set for him. Until then, he can have the TR Titan Master vehicle as a gun.

Saw Buzzworthy ROTB Smash Changer Scourge at Target tonight on the Transformers endcap. Not sure if I knew he was being made or just forgot. He's an obvious Optimus retool and very coppery.

Yep we knew he was coming, I've been contemplating getting him. I've seen him twice now, and he is pretty tempting, more so after watching the movie

I’m sure I’m alone in this, but the only one that interests me is the Allicon, since he was one of the many ER figures I never found.
I suppose the others would sell on eBay.

Oh no, an entire box set of troop builders, that's going to be expensive. Strange choice making the Autorooper a van instead of a car but I guess that's why it's Animated universe.

Only a matter of time until we get an Animated Universe Fisitron (Ironfist)!

That's not Thundercracker, that's a generic "Decepticon Seeker". They used the same tampos, but the shade of blue should be different.

It depends. I haven't purchased any seekers in a while, and the pics are blurry. The number of steps on the seeker makes me think its a voyager, but the pics look like a core Thundercracker.

If it's 1 core and 3 deluxe, that's about right for retail.

If it's 1 Voyager and 3 deluxe, that's actually a pretty good bargain.
