DC is with McFarlane now and spinmaster so not sure how it works there.
Disney now own predator and aliens through the fox merger so anything is possible there as they've close ties with Hasbro.
I think a Star Trek enterprise could be really cool too.
I don't think numbers will save it, unless they just removed the flag.
As for star trek, people do want the Tiberus Maximus from the cross over comic but that transformation is going to be really hard to replicate, they'd be better off going for a new design that works with the ship parts as is.
The General Lee can be made as long as the flag is removed. Hot Wheels or Matchbox tried doing one not that long ago, but was basically told by collectors they won't buy it. By the by, the guy who bought the main General Lee that was used on the show had the flag painted over about five years ago. Many other car collectors offered him double what he paid to preserve the car but he said no.
I don't see why someone would want the flag removed or a removed version as it's not accurate to what was in the show which is what these crossovers are supposed to represent.
I'd buy it with the flag, would even buy two as I've done with Ectotron and plan to do with gigawatt one for alt mode and one for bot mode. I'd argue there's a bigger market in Transformers than hot wheels.
I just read that there and he bought one of the cars on the show from what I read and it's his property to do with what he pleases but it doesn't mean everyone should follow suit. It's strange that he'd actively do that but it's his property I suppose.
