Then you must feel the same about the Sunstorm, Bitstream, and Hotlink toys that we got at BotCon 2013 since Nacelle as a character is of the exact same origin/nature as those three, being a one-off generic Seeker from the G1 cartoon's first episode.Seibertron wrote:Same with Nacelle. Had they used the Encore Starscream mold with the G1 Thrust wings, this would be a really unique figure to add to a collection, but using the Classics mold for the 31st (?) time as a character I could care less about that's slightly above a fan-fiction character just doesn't work for me.

Since we got Rattrap and Takara has Rattle, I'm pretty sure we'll get Primal in the Voyager class at some point. A retool of Beast Hunters Darksteel would easily make a Silverbolt.
I doubt we'll get a new Primal toy; the original is getting re-released with an updated noggin as part of Takara's TF Legends line:

Direct redeco of BW 10th Anniversary Optimus Primal:
Has a new chest too
I wouldn't mind more BW characters getting the spotlight, as said before Inferno deserves more exposure. For the Royalty!

If fact, the same would have to also apply to the likes of Acid Storm and any other generic from the G1 cartoon whose ever received their own toy.
I was responding mainly to the following part:Seibertron wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Then you must feel the same about the Sunstorm, Bitstream, and Hotlink toys that we got at BotCon 2013 since Nacelle as a character is of the exact same origin/nature as those three, being a one-off generic Seeker from the G1 cartoon's first episode.Seibertron wrote:Same with Nacelle. You're missing my point. It has less to do with the name they put on it and more to do with what the toy is supposed to homage. Nacelle is an homage of a prototype that appeared in some early catalogs from Sears or Toy Fair. I'd rather have the actual toy of what was shown than have a toy that homages a prototype that we never received. Come out with that version first, then I might be more into this version.
Same with Carzap.
The character, not the name or the deco, but the character shares the same origin as the likes of Sunstorm, Bitstream, and Hotlink. All four came from a brief scene in the G1 cartoon's first episode:as a character I could care less about that's slightly above a fan-fiction character

But there's a Legends-sized Universe/Henkei Warpath...
JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:It'll be any Generations Legend from Optimus Prime to Gears, plus a repainted Micromaster partner. Let's speculate away!

Note that this pic is old, made before Nacelle's identity was confirmed, hence the lack of certainty on the arrow pointing to Nacelle.

My point is that they could have called him "Bob" or painted him solid dark blue instead of homaging the Seeker prototype, and he still would have been that same background character since that Seeker's existence is the whole reason behind their creating this toy. The Club made three of the four "Welcoming Committee" Seekers, and wanted to complete the team by making the fourth one. They just chose to give the fourth one some extras to make it super special and more worth purchasing.megatronus wrote:What's a Transformers character without a name or a deco? Any obscure blob is just an obscure blob. Making that particular obscure blob an unreleased G1 redeco seems like a stretch. Bingo. It has been stated multiple times in this topic that the 7th figure is 100% going to be once of the 2013-2014 Generations Legends molds w/ a Targetmaster partner.megatronus wrote:Quoting Jelze doesn't negate the fact that a legends-sized Warpath exists...
...unless you're trying to say that since there's no Generations Warpath, it can't possible be the 7th figure since only the recent Generations Legends figures + partners are being considered for the 7th figure redeco?

Jesse Wittenrich has stated that they made this toy to complete the quartet of Seekers from that episode, and that they chose to base its deco off the prototype to make it more worthwhile than simply releasing yet another blue Starscream.megatronus wrote:Sabrblade wrote:My point is that they could have called him "Bob" or painted him solid dark blue instead of homaging the Seeker prototype, and he still would have been that same background character since that Seeker's existence is the whole reason behind their creating this toy. I get what you're saying, but I think you're emphasizing the wrong point. I don't think the reason for Nacelle's creation was that he was part of the welcoming committee... it seems the Club is trying, primarily, to homage the unreleased prototype (just like Carzap), but are also trying to give the homage more substance by shoehorning him in as part of the welcoming committee. To some that may come off as super special, but to me it comes off as meh.
