Seriously, I'm bored with Combiner Wars already and sick of the fact that I've already seen EVERYTHING thru the end of 2016. Bandai had better variety than this with the Power Rangers line FFS. That's pretty sad.

The chest forms the base of the tank turret. It kinda needs to be flat for the shoulders to rest on top of it.Burn wrote:dragons wrote:look better if gun was coming out of his chest without gun popping out of his chest looks another megatron repaint with new head
Without running to have a look at the figure I don't it would be hard for someone to create a kit that will swap out the current chest and replace it with one where the gun (or a modified one) can be attached and removed accordingly.

The center of the chest is taken up by the rotating swivel joint that rests flush up against the chestplate piece. Said hole wouldn't be deep enough to adequately grip the gun.Burn wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The chest forms the base of the tank turret. Drill a hole where the Autobot symbol is, modify the gun so it plugs in ... wouldn't take much modification at all really.

Ah crud, I misremembered and had that setup backwards. The swivel's further back inside his torso rather than in his chestplate. So it might very well be possible for a drilled-in hole to hold the gun.Burn wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The center of the chest is taken up by the rotating swivel joint that rests flush up against the chestplate piece. You've taken the figure apart then and know what it's all like inside?

You know, weren't we supposed to get a deluxe sized Hardhead somewhere down the line? Whatever happened to that?

Has Hasbro done that extent of retooling to a Generations Legends mold before? I can't see them doing so now if there hasn't been one to set a precedent.durroth wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The chest forms the base of the tank turret. But it and the arms are also a separate piece from the main body to enable the turret's rotation. They could have made an entirely new chest and arms for the purpose of making warpath. Think of this: the chest (the part with the cannon) flips down on a hinge (possibly a double hinged piece to allow it to extend further forward, the arms fold up, possibly with the fists hinging down into hollows, the shoulders unplug and rotate up to fill the space the chest was occupying. The leg transformation remains standard, because at that point who the hell cares that it's not a quad tank get over it.
That's probably for the better. It would be more cruel of them to release the rest of those characters as toys since Leader Megatron wouldn't be able to combine with them.durroth wrote:you know, I'm starting to think hasbro doesn't even plan to release the rest of the combiner parts to turn Leader Megatron into Overmegasixwave.
