So far, I am very impressed with the engineering to this toy, especially the joints. Very elegant solutions to this combiner. Too bad about the forearm kibble (the biggest disappointment to this set besides Mixmaster's "alt mode") - could have made it so that the treads of Bonecrusher and Scavenger forms Devastator's forearms like TFC's Hercules.

Ah, but THEN you'd have G1 purists and Classics collectors complaining about that not being how it was, just like Mixmaster. It's the fraggin' Kobayashi Maroon of Transformers!

I'm a classics only collector and I am all about this toy. I said before I have Maketoys green giant but I am all about this guy. I'm not someone who complains and screams "hastak is crap and doesn't give us good stuff and 3rd parties are the way to go!"
It's amazing that after 9 years were still getting G1 modernized toys because they really don't have be giving us that stuff They could be just focusing on movie and RID stuff but they're not. I'm just thankful they're doing stuff like this.

Not sure if I did the links right, this is the first time I've tried sharing anything like that here; but, here are mirrored YouTube videos I found.

Keep in mind, the CHUG line is supposed to draw in the more hardcore, diehard G1/G2/MW/BW/BM/RID2001/A/E/C/Ani/Prime/RID2015/DW/IDW fans. There is NO WAY Hasbro/Takara would let that big fish swim away.
About this new Mixmaster - it just seem like they could had picked a better alt mode choice. It just seem like a lazy choice on their part when a typical front ender looks like these:

It doesn't look like any of that at all. With Devastator's foot sticking out like that, it made the effort all the more lazy.

PS: Anyone else remember that guy who saw Devastator at some foreign toy fair and said we was nothing to be excited about, that he was crap, and said similar things about Defensor? I think that guy has extremely high standards. He needs a chill pill man, cause both of those guys look amazing

I wish these people, instead of taking stupid pictures, would actually do a review!

This is the stolen Chinese blood money edition of Devastator after all.

Actually the majority of people in China don't speak exclusively Mandarin Chinese. There are actually a lot of English speaking people there, so I don't get why an english speaking person in China can't do a review in English. Even if they don't have access to Youtube or Google.

It is quite remarkable the engineering involved. I mean look at them! Ankle tilts on all 7 bots!! The arms are not hollow! The arms even peg in in like 3 different spots! This is fantastic engineering if you ask me, and quite remarkable to watch the combination.
