Some people met the lead Takara designer for Devastator and he said that Devastator was not made to be an MP, and that there was currently no plans for releasing MP combiners.

Until that day where we have official MP combiners, I've got my Devastator (and Leader Megatron) with my MPs. Even if that day comes, I probably won't bite easily; they really work well with MPs, IMO!

Yeah, word. Leader Magnus has forced me to rethink my display setup. I haven't even begun to try and figure out what to do with Devastator once he shows up.

I actually find that for the scale I want, he works better with the classics. To me, the combiner wars scramble city combiners when work better with the legends toys (example, shockwave with bruticus) so the size of Devastator combined works better with normal deluxes and voyagers.

Devastatator was released under the Combiner Wars line, not the Masterpiece line. I can accept putting Combiner Wars with "CHUG" figures and get on the Neo-G1 bandwagon, but I simply cannot put figures that weren't released under the Masterpiece banner with the Masterpieces. I'm just that damn anal.

Seriously though. CW Devastator is amazing. I'm happier with him than I was when I got Metroplex. I'm guessing due to nostalgia. And then comparing him to my G1 I was so happy I literally giggled and said "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?! This is amazing!!" My wife was amused :lol:

Translucent windows and hand articulation FTW!! I have Jazz, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Silverstreak (to be replaced by MP Bluestreak this week) and Rodimus with my MP Optimus, Grimlock, Rodimus Prime, Prowl

Alternators Rodimus definitely needs a wing. Still looking for Alternators Hound, Mirage at decent prices, I think I missed one or two options over the weekend..

So Devy with my MP Decepticons isn't a stretch based on my past mixing

Alternators Shock(wave)blast is here on my desk at work, he's too tiny to be on my MP shelf for my liking :lol:

If it's any consolation I had to wait for Unite Warriors Superion before I could truly enjoy Combiner Wars. It was fun and all transforming Alpha Bravo and Offroad back and forth between robot, alt, arm and leg ... but they do look kinda silly when not combined.

And I'm still waiting on Menasor, and I have no idea how I'm going to get Defensor.
