I'd put money down that we'll see a new Trypticon before we get another Titan Class Combiner.
But this is a discussion for another thread.

Well, went to Toys R Us today, they had two Devestators. All wrapped up in nice anti-theft wires, with a price of 159.99.

No sign of his alt modes though! but since he's using Generations Metroplex mold....His alt modes will prob be similar to that, but cool they're adding Cerebros & Spike.
One thing though....I hope he obviously has some Fort Max speech.

That's why I never plan on buying transformers when someone comes with me, or plan on going somewhere that may have them
The comments last page...Nemesis: you are the man!
Fort Max: some parts look like Metro (arms), but the treads, legs and proportions are off. I don't think they're using that mold.
On topic: my parents agreed to get me Devy for Christmas! No $150 for me! and I have patience, albeit very little, so it cannot come quick enough

It's a reshelling of the Metroplex mold (notice the same crack and molding details on the lower leg):D-Maximus_Prime wrote:Fort Max: some parts look like Metro (arms), but the treads, legs and proportions are off. I don't think they're using that mold.

Damn reshells. I'm ok with smaller reshells, but leaders and larger are deserving of new molds. That looks pretty drastic, but still, I wish they'd look at G1 fort max for transformation. And I wish Fort Max was leader so a could afford him and he'd look more IDW accurate (and MArcel comics accurate size-wise)

I'm not sure. I think they only count the head. the cannons on plex didn't count, so I don't think Maxs treads will count...

Balls.
If Fort Max is Leader sized, I'll get him. But I have no real desire to own a Titan Class Fort Max. While I think it's cool, the character only really appeals to me because of what he is in the IDW comics.

Reshell/mold......he gonna be one bad@ss mader freakin' tank like steam roller! I pity the 'cons who stand in his way (especially if Hasbro goes for the IDW persona of Fortmax.........kind off a facist jail warden take no prisoners approach over the reluctant warrior architech).
I'm gonna buy him, the TT version eventually but just my 2 cents, though the Metroflex mold is awesome and all, the feel of the plastics is flimsy compared to the Encore version or Fortmax himself. It's like comparing an American muscle car to a Honda or WWII Mustang fighter plane to a Japanese Zero fighter.
Also, Gen-1 Fortmax had a working elevator and a gravity aided launching bay with it's ramps and a holding cell. I don't think the Metroflex mold can be repurposed with those features. And maybe, recreate/remold the forearms to look different from the base mold's Metroflex style to the G1 toy style?
Maybe getting ahead of myself too much.

This is going to sound funny me asking this but I was wondering if the Takara release of Devastator is brighter green than the Hasbro one or is that just the way it looks in the stock photos of them?
Reason I was curious about that is I am debating on getting a Hasbro one or ordering one of the more expensive Takara one's. I like the look of the darker green from what I have scene in stock photos of the Hasbro Devastator better but if the color is exactly the same and just lighting in the photos then maybe I will go with the Takara version when it is available instead since it has guns for each of the Constructicons compared to Hasbro. But on the other hand there are third party kits that do have the guns for each of them and other things that the Hasbro one's don't have like the better knees and elbows for more articulation. Save for the two heads though since that makes it cool that the Takara one has both the visored version and two separate eyes versions in the box.
Strange question but I gotsta know! Kind of makes you wonder two why the hell Hasbro didn't include the individual guns for the six cons since they did for the other gestalt teams they have released so far?

looks to me like the only the lower legs and forearms are shared and even the feet look different. I think the torso, head, shoulders, and possibly upper legs all look different. i wouldn't discount the possibility of classic fort max features yet.

Hey people, my Devy's hip joints are extremely tight, stiff and hard to move. Are they supposed to be this strong or is mine just too hard? Sometimes I'm afraid they might break.

Mine are very stiff, albeit moveable. They need to be to support the figure's weight. You're probably fine.
