Why would collectors be angry? They were ready to pull out the torches and pitchforks when the first spoiler set wasn't that. If they right their previous wrong and do give us a Decepticon Ultra Magnus people should be happy. They knew what they were getting well ahead of release the first time around, there should be any fans that were suckered into buying it. Whatever it is I doubt it'll be as cool as we imagine it'll be.

I don't really see any reason for it to be Nemesis Prime from what we've seen in trailers so far. Not that I wouldn't be super excited if it were since I already pre-ordered it (and everything else revealed today except for the unavailable Soundwave and Bumblebee).

It could be Galvatron, we know one is coming eventually. He's on some Earthrise packages and his head is pretty hard to miss on the Kingdom poster (composited with Megatron's). Remember that this Netflix line is for the whole trilogy not just specific parts, they can use future molds if they want. Bumblebee is also on the Kingdom poster so that's probably when we'll see him at normal retail.

Also keep in mind that the reason early looks at ER Optimus had gray hands and inner thighs (and still does) is because the figure is gang molded with the trailer. The fact that we have that same figure being sold as a Voyager means they must have figured out how to remove those parts from the trailer and make them properly part of the figure's mold. I suspect this Optimus will also be sold at normal retail in Kingdom since what looks like ER Prime is also on the Kingdom poster. While not on the poster we may also see the updated Soundwave mold and Elita 1 in Kingdom as well, I can't imagine these molds will be exclusive to the Netflix line.

ok so Im a little confused. earlier in the day Exhaust and Greasepit were in stock, and Hubcap was showing pre-order for 9/1. Hasbro took my money for Greasepit, but it has now changed to pre-order for 8/4 after the fact....

I have several HP pre-orders and they have never taken my money until the item is in stock...Will I be getting a refund, or was there a small amount of stock they were able to ship? Or is my money hostage until 8/4?

Btw..Exhaust is still showing in-stock on HP

Bumblebee will be a pain for sure. He is a popular character with parents, at a good price point for them. So not only are you out of luck for ordering him online at the moment but getting him at retail will be rather competitive. The scalpers will be all over him too. And with 5 deluxes in a wave, there's only so much you can have of him in there. Such fun!

BB and Soundwave being remolds of previous figures is a very big departure for Netflix toys. Even ones in this wave. So I tend to think they'll be in the mainline.

It's not like they revealed Cyclonus, who we also know is coming. That's where we got our first look at Soundwave.

Big departure or not, Bumblebee, Elita, and Soundwave were officially identified as part of the Netflix line. Everything in this reveal was an exclusive of some sort.

Which would explain Thrust and Cyclonus' absence.

I might grab Bumblebee if he actually shows up at a Walmart since he's finally back to the proper vehicle, but I'm not going to get too worked up if I miss him. There's nothing inspiring about these figures, and all these shields and shellformers are just lazy designs and half-assed engineering.

In Ironhide's case it's because a shield or replacing the leg panels with a removable shell was the only way to give the SIEGE mold an Earthly roof. Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, I suspect it was done for ease of altmode re-shelling. The Arcee/Elita mold, though... Ugh. It purely serves the purpose of just letting them swap Arcee's body for a sad-looking Elita.

1 to add to what you are saying, bumblebee and the other two are not sporting a battle damage deco customary of Netflix figures, which would further indicate that tgis is their main release.

2 thrust will be an exclusive of some sort, he isn't part of the main voyager assortment.

It's not merely the fan mode. The back pieces from the SIEGE version have been completely chucked so that his arms can fold behind his back just like the G1 toy, and waist rotation has been added to the mix to bring in a more solid tape buttons panel and avoid needing the G1 toy's forward-bending knees.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean that the remolded Soundwave and BB are exclusive to the Netflix line.

For instance ER Prime is in the Netflix line with additional weapons and blue legs. So, maybe that's the same deal with Soundwave. He comes with cassettes. That's what's exclusive about him. Maybe the yellow eyes too.

As for BB, I don't know. Maybe something about the paintjob? It just seems odd that he'd be on the box, and clearly in mind when they made Cliffjumper ... but be limited to the Netflix

Ahhhh, okay. It was sounding to me like you were against this figure too because of it being the SIEGE version retooled. Thanks for clearing that up.
IMO they're both kinda crappy Soundwaves, since they can only hold the Micromaster cassettes.

Re: Thrust not being part of the main Voyager assortment.. What's the source on that?

If the spoiler pack figure is Nemesis Prime then I hope it uses GUOP and not ER OP.
If it's Shockwave then I hope it's Energon Sixshot's colors.
If it's Astrotrain then I'd want either a G1 toy accurate deco or a Spacewarp deco.

I couldn't care less for any reason why these should or shouldn't be done. It's just that I'd rather see things like this than just another more battle damaged deco.

Well, you're in luck: It can't possibly be ER Optimus. From the official description:
"1 Leader Class 7-inch figure"
As ER Optimus falls short of that height and lacks any armor add-ons to boost it, he's out. I think that also rules out Astrotrain - pretty sure he falls short of 7" even with his tender armor.
So of the known Leader molds: It has to be Magnus again, the Galaxy Upgrade Optimus version of that mold, Shockwave, or possibly Doubledealer (assuming he's 7"); probably not that mold though.

An Autobot Optimus Prime is the Wave 2 Voyager w/ two Battlemasters, same as Megatron was in Wave 1. Why would an Optimus recolor be the spoiler as well? Seems like there are other better options than two of the same individual in the same wave, no? Wave 1 was all "burnt" repaints and a single repaint into a different character, Decepticon Mirage. My money is on the Wave 2 spoiler being a Leader Autobot converted to Decepticon and with Prime being the Voyager its gotta be another dang Ultra Magnus repaint. Or Shockwave with his lab to through us something out of the left-field, with the last Shockwave selling oh so well.

Having gone back and watched the stream, since it happened before I was awake, the designer also did basically call out Soundwave and Bumblebee as being their "Earthrise forms" (or a similar phrase, I don't remember exactly) while pointing out their lack of battle damage, that seems like pretty damning evidence too.

Prime has blue legs, a painted face, no trailer, and 2 Battlemasters, yes...but he also has battle damage, which Bumblebee and Soundwave pointedly do not.

...the product descriptions for every figure have a set height per class regardless of the actual size of the figure though. Bee, Elita, Wheeljack, Red Alert, and Impactor are all labeled in their descriptions as being 5.5 inches, even though we already know Impactor is bigger than all of them and the opposite is true of Bee's base mold.

This is my feeling as well, I posted as much at the top of the page, though it seems like most people didn't notice it. Nothing I've seen so far convinces me that Bumblebee and Soundwave (or maybe even Elita 1 and Optimus) are exclusive to this line. I feel like if that were the case they would have been driving home the fact during the presentation, I'd like to think they aren't so out of touch to think we'd just know. Just to repeat what I said previously, I think we'll see Voyager Optimus and Bumblebee in Kingdom.

Except that there is a world of difference between an Optimus who turns into a late '70s/early '80s semi cab... and an Optimus who turns into a futuristic fire engine with cannons the size of tree trunks and who can assume a winged super mode. Something like the black-and-red "Galaxy Force" deco or a Nemesis Prime deco would add further difference, and there's the blind box to keep people guessing.

1. First off, Decepticon Mirage isn't a different-character repaint, he's an undercover repaint a la Cybertron Sky Shadow. Hotlink is a different-character redeco, poorly-executed though he may be.
2. There are in fact two different-character redecoes: Hotlink, and Scrapface.

A Doubledealer redeco isn't necessarily ruled out, still waiting for word on his height.
