Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

And there he is standing next to MP-10. Sweet! and in a pose that shows his hips aren't wack
Thanks for that pic.

Need to see some more pics.

Yeah, I can't see any differences unless Takara's Megatron is a darker silver.Wolfman Jake wrote:MemphisR56 wrote:Comparing the image and it loojs like the one in the takara photos has an alternate head sculpt. Takara version looks like the G1 toy. Hasbro looks like IDW megatron.
I'm not really seeing a different head sculpt with the Takara version. In fact, I don't really see any paint app differences either. Megatron looks shinier, but until we see some in-hand samples, we won't know if that's a matter of different materials/paints used or just Photoshop magic.

all of that, is exactly what i was thinking. i cant even add to it... youve covered all my thoughts and pointsSyn_13 wrote:The downside (for me, anyway) is that he's completely out of scale to what I'd like. Measuring him up to MP Prime makes me think that he's going to look way to big to stand with my Classics Prime. Megatron should be bigger than Prime, IMO, but not that much bigger. He might not look so bad against TW Orion, but I don't have him so I can't comment.
Sure, I'd pose him with my MP Prime, but it's just not going to work for me. As much as I've always hated Megatron as a gun (even as a little kid I thought it was a terrible alt mode), I would rather Megatron be a gun if he was going to represent the MP line. MP is basically an homage to G1, and a tank Megs next to a classic looking, G1 inspired Convoy Prime just doesn't sit right with me. Not to mention that this Leader Megs is going to look cheaper. He's not going to be as high quality as the MP line and would therefore suit being displayed with other CHUG figures, rather than MP. Also, he's slightly smaller being that he's a Leader class, so scale is a little off again.
I applaud HasTak for their effort. Visually he's a great representation of Megatron, but I just think he's too tall for CHUG and won't fit the MP aesthetic. Should've been a Voyager, but who knows, maybe he'll look okay when paired up with CW Prime.

And this fan custom just goes to show how much a bigger and better head for Optimus really goes a long way:
