Especially when it's obvious.
I think we need a new thread...
Alpha Bravo - So Scandalous He Needs His Own Thread
Why not make it a more general thread, like Replacement Combiner Limbs - So Scandalous They Need Their Own Thread, just so we can include Offroad and Rook? Why should Alpha Bravo be singled out?
Well Offroad is at least painted like Wildrider in alt mode for those who only care about displaying Menasor. And Rook was more of a solution to the Groove scale issue. But Alpha Bravo was a blatant insult to G1 fans by Hasbro. Wh created him ? Why ?
Notice on his TFwiki, his IDW continuity is a whopping 2 sentences. No pictures, backstory, or listing of what issue of which IDW comic he appeared in. Does anybody even own this mysterious comic book where Silverbolt dies and Alpha Bravo takes his place ? Or is it just an urban legend made up by pro IDW fans ? Somebody please take pictures of the actual comic...
http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Alpha_Bravo
I've got the comic...but I don't wanna show you
For the record silverbolt is still alive oh and slingshot is just heavily damaged but meh, we dont need him, he's surplus to requirements really.
And if I ever met the person responsible for his design, I'd buy him a beer (or whatever his poison)

Group of stunt cars that fear no one and are led by a giant semi truck whos as good being a stunt vehicle as a helicopter as being with a bunch of jets. But no one is going to argue that because of 30 years of nostalgia

It really does look nice. For a new line, they really have made some really nice looking stuff. I think that's what some people seem to be forgetting; it's a new line, not MP. Who cares if Alpha Bravo is in or out, in my collection, it won't be the end all, be all Superion anyway. I'll wait for an MP, and get this as a place holder in the mean time, which could be many years. What irks me, however, is the thought that parts of this line could be rebranded into the MP line, which would be a seriously bad move. For people willing to pay upwards of $80 for a single car, then it'd better be perfect, which is what that line hits 95% of the time. To include the new Devastator, with his glaring flaws and obvious compromises made due to price point would bring the entire line down. If an MP Devastator is coming, I'd expect each constructicon to be in the $80-90 range, and also look like it. The CW line is great for a mainstream line, but it is not high end collector grade material, and I'm sure it's not intended to be.

I agree that MP is its own thing and any re-branding as you describe would definitely bring the line down. I am curious as to why the CW Megatron and Devastator are so close in size to their MP counterparts. If they are trying to kill two birds then does that mean we will never get those figures.

Nah, you just posted it in a different thread

It's a team made up of characters with mental flaws so heavy their personal development is permanently "stunted".
See what I did there.....
