Once I ran an Anime festival with over 6,000 attendees. Now... not so much.

Not mine, nor "complete" but if it's height you want, they're good enough proxy's, though menasor has it's legs extended from further due to motormaster's hips.

I can only hope for Thunderclash with a retooled chest and maybe shorter shoulder pylons (if the mould allows it.)
On the other hand, G1 Thunderclash's transformation scheme is very similar to the CW OP/MM Mould, only difference being to top of the cab doesn't form the chest.... though with the difference between OP's and MM's chest being quite drastic, another, smoother white chest piece here could work wonders...
But back onto the Leader Magnus mould, other than a Diaclone coloured repaint, there's not really many canon characters that could share the mould, and arguably Ultra Magnus could sell the mould on his own without a "hanger on" the way Armada Megatron was for the G1 coloured version. But then we got Thundercracker (and probably SS/SW) from Jetfire and Cyclonus from Silverbolt - totally left-field ideas in my mind, so who knows who they'll pull out next - possibly a non-G1 character? Are there any Armada/UT-verse characters that might fit a similar mould to UM?

quick visit to tfwiki.
Yep I can see that, if indeed they have retooled him as this guy, won't be a 1:1 match obviously, but could work, considering the nature of Leader class Armada Megs...

He was actually named "Ultra Magnus" in Japan, don't you know? I could see that happening, as Rollout was "piloting" Overload like a big suit.

I thought I read that somewhere. So it's Ultra Magnus, recolored, as Armada Ultra MagnusJelZe GoldRabbit wrote:He was actually named "Ultra Magnus" in Japan, don't you know? And in Energon, he had the classic Ultra Magnus deco and was called Ultra Magnus in the west. So yeah it works pretty well. The original Armada toy was redeco'ed blue and white and now this Ultra Magnus toy would be redeco'ed red.

Considering the great job they did with Rhinox and Waspinator in Generations, I'd be happy with just Quickstrike. Hasbro is missing out by not releasing the rest of the Beast Wars cast (at least season 1) in the Generations line.Sabrblade wrote:I keep saying it, Leader Ultra Magnus into Quickstrike's control suit

I'm fine with the original Quickstrike as he is. He's show-accurately sculpted and sized (a Deluxe or up would be too big), and I can't see today's Hasbro topping (or even meeting) that many-ball-jointed snake arm. Just needs more facial paint like the original Takara version had.Rodimus Prime wrote:Considering the great job they did with Rhinox and Waspinator in Generations, I'd be happy with just Quickstrike. Almost none of the 1998-1999 BW show character toys need updating.

Yeah, I was just gonna say that. I highly doubt how they could update that quickstrike toy in a worthwhile fashion.

As a newer collector and fan of Beast Wars I've been enjoying all the up dates to characters last year. When I saw they were re-releasing Primal in the Legends line I got really excited. I'd like to see all of the cast of Beast Wars to get a new figure a some point but even reissues I'd be fine with for the time. Hopefully with it being the 20th anniversary of Beast Wars next year we'll see something for that, Platinum Edition reissues, Combiner Wars Tripredacus, Magnaboss, Predaking, or even some new leader class figures such as Primal or Megatron.

After all, Takara's reissue of BWR Primal and Hasbro's bringing back the Terrorsaur mold for Walmart AOE Strafe have proven successful enough.

I sure wouldn't be adverse. But how could they top Telemocha? Those were works of art.Sabrblade wrote:I honestly feel that several of the original molds were so good that if some of them were to be reissued wholesale in the Generations or Platinum Edition lines instead of given new updated molds, people would still buy them and enjoy them, with only the most minor section of fandom calling Hasbro out on being "lazy" for not updating the ones they'd reissue.

Reissue some of the non-show ones. I wouldn't be adverse to a reissue of, say, Manterror. Maybe even as a new character with a new deco.shajaki wrote:I sure wouldn't be adverse. But didnt they do that with the 10th anniversary already? I would think that was the time for premium decos and hence why they are updating the figures instead of rereleasing them. But as pointed out, the AOE walmart exclusives did give us some fun repaints of the Energon and Beast Wars line (still wondering why Canada never got them).
