Any ideas?

IDW has made mention of Thunderclash, so maybe that too?prjkt wrote:NuclearConvoy wrote:So, I was just thinking, the Ultra Magnus leader-class mold that is coming out has got to be pre-tooled to also be something else, as the tradition has become with this line as of late, and I was thinking that, asides from a weird rendition of Powermaster Optimus Prime, I cannot think of anything to pre-tool him into. I can only hope for Thunderclash with a retooled chest and maybe shorter shoulder pylons (if the mould allows it.)
On the other hand, G1 Thunderclash's transformation scheme is very similar to the CW OP/MM Mould, only difference being to top of the cab doesn't form the chest.... though with the difference between OP's and MM's chest being quite drastic, another, smoother white chest piece here could work wonders...

I thought I read that somewhere. So it's Ultra Magnus, recolored, as Armada Ultra Magnus They did it with Megatron, why not continue. That would be the third "Armada" figure out of the modern toy line.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:He was actually named "Ultra Magnus" in Japan, don't you know? He was actually named "Ultra Magnus" in Japan, don't you know? I could see that happening, as Rollout was "piloting" Overload like a big suit.

Considering the great job they did with Rhinox and Waspinator in Generations, I'd be happy with just Quickstrike. Hasbro is missing out by not releasing the rest of the Beast Wars cast (at least season 1) in the Generations line.Sabrblade wrote:I keep saying it, Leader Ultra Magnus into Quickstrike's control suit
I'm fine with the original Quickstrike as he is. He's show-accurately sculpted and sized (a Deluxe or up would be too big), and I can't see today's Hasbro topping (or even meeting) that many-ball-jointed snake arm. Just needs more facial paint like the original Takara version had.Rodimus Prime wrote:Considering the great job they did with Rhinox and Waspinator in Generations, I'd be happy with just Quickstrike. Almost none of the 1998-1999 BW show character toys need updating.

Yeah, I was just gonna say that. I highly doubt how they could update that quickstrike toy in a worthwhile fashion.

I sure wouldn't be adverse. But how could they top Telemocha? Those were works of art.Sabrblade wrote:I honestly feel that several of the original molds were so good that if some of them were to be reissued wholesale in the Generations or Platinum Edition lines instead of given new updated molds, people would still buy them and enjoy them, with only the most minor section of fandom calling Hasbro out on being "lazy" for not updating the ones they'd reissue.
After all, Takara's reissue of BWR Primal and Hasbro's bringing back the Terrorsaur mold for Walmart AOE Strafe have proven successful enough.
Reissue some of the non-show ones. I wouldn't be adverse to a reissue of, say, Manterror. Maybe even as a new character with a new deco.shajaki wrote:I sure wouldn't be adverse. If they premium'd up any BW figures show characters or not, I'd be there!Sabrblade wrote:Reissue some of the non-show ones. I wouldn't be adverse to a reissue of, say, Manterror. Maybe even as a new character with a new deco.
