Funny story: I ran into this 10 year old in Walmart looking at RiD stuff and Combiner wars stuff. Know what he said? Offroad and Alpha Bravo were his favorites since they were so unique and he hated that there were 3 different jets! Nice to hear what youngsters look at. He also said the RiD stuff was far and away his favorite line cause they looked so cool and he could transform them quickly. Quite a nice perspective.

I do agree that the target demographic is noticing the characters. I like to hear what kids have to say in the aisle since it really does speak volumes about the majority of consumers. As for nailing it, idk for sure, but considering how hard it is for me to find new guys and many others have spoken of their plights, I would say success is good right now

Considering the Rodimus chest piece and the white Prime (Ultra Magnus), I'm surprised they didn't try to make the '85 crew into a combiner.

Flatline is essentially just Generations Trailcutter with some remolded parts, but basically the same deco as is.

I wouldn't mind a Flatline, but I am good with Autobots too. Flatline is really cool though

I'd toss in Barricade too. He's already in IDW and pretty cool as a proud Decepticon police officer.

I'm sick of the goody goods too, especially when they overwhelm the Baddies.

We need a Flatline plus there aren't many Decepticon doctor/medics in toy form so it would be pretty good to have someone like that.

Barricade would be Awesome. Actually a whole bunch of Micromaster characters turned full sized bots would be nice. Brawl could pass as Bombshock with a new head and a colour scheme

Just finished up Defensor last week. I don't mind that Groove is the Legends figure. If he were a deluxe he would look really weird. I also think Rook is one of the most solid CW figures there are. The fact he can have a Power Fist (a la Warhammer 40K). His other gun is kinda crap though. I am disappointed that Groove can't really be configured into a weapon or arm-mounted shield. I really like the Defensor chest without him, but I don't really have a better place for him. Otherwise, for a number of reason, Defensor is my favorite combiner. He is solid, holds together well, has nice color balance, and is composed of rescue vehicles (I am a nurse IRL, so I love me some rescue vehicles).

I am really looking forward to the Combaticons so I can have 2 Autobots vs 2 Decepticons. I am disappointed that Blast Off isn't a remold of Alpha Bravo/Vortex/Blades mold. The windows on said figures look very much like the Space Shuttle's, and if they replace the tail assembly and arms, they could make a very convincing Space Shuttle. Having him just be a recolor of Quickslinger just doesn't do it for me.

I plan on getting Sky Lynx, but I doubt I will get his intended limbs. It is really dumb that Sky Reign has a bunch of cars for limbs. Also have all of the CHUG molds of all of his limbs and like them well enough. I kinda want to get doubles of some of the Aerialbots and repaint them as other characters. But I am not going to kid myself into thinking that would actually happen.
