Running change? When did that come up?
A couple of days ago, it may not have been news'ed. The thigh detented gear of b.c.o/p has been changed so that the combined forms' legs can sit evenly on the floor; mm is his wavemate, I wasn't sure if this wasn't the reason why
Ah, thank you. I did hear that, but didnt make the running change connection

I just was playing with Rook and realized something incredible, painted the right way, with a new head, he could be a scaled down Fortress Maximus! He even has a city mode and a space ship mode!

Neat. Except we need a titan class one so Fort Max can reclaim his crown from Metroplex.

WRONG. What we need is a titan class Alpha Bravo.
In all seriousness though, I'm super excited for Titan Wars, but I'd like to see a Fortress Maximus modeled after his IDW version, where he's a tank or something and is roughly voyager scale.

Is it perfect? No, but Rook does have the city mode nailed, in my opinion anyway.

Either that, or a life-size Alpha Bravo. Va'al would have a field day with that.

Nice! We're getting a Titan Fort Max but this still looks really cool. I'll have to try it when I find a Rook! Grr my bad luck!

Regardless of his non-G1edness, he's a great little toy and is worth picking up, plus I love the gimmick of his hand, it's very fun to clip junk onto him.
Va'al wrote:Madeus, those actually work fairly well for a scaled down version!
Thanks, I just was transforming him when I saw how the legs hinged and his arms were positioned and it all just clicked!
Also, just wanted to point out that, should you get the Takara version of Defensor and want to grab Rook, use him as G1 Autotroopers!

Thanks guys! Eventhough, the knees are a bit loose due to relying on Scourge's head / thruster swivel joint, you still can get several good poses out.

Re: Transformers Generations Combiner Wars Discussion Thread
Was the release of these wave 4 deluxes (Ironhide, etc.) a mistake - or are these figures really on the cusp of national retail release? I know some stores will get merchandise that they COULD put out on the shelf if they wanted to. But they wait for some kind of mysterious 'street date' release to come before they will actually put them out on the shelves.
Sometimes the grunts at Walmart, Target or some other such place will not 'get the memo' however, and we wind up with some lucky people coming across items early in stores as a result. Is this one such instance of it?
Though frustrated collectors are triggered by this into once again asking the question - if the manufacturers are so far into production that they have actual finished products, what are they waiting for...?

You are right, that is quite odd. Arcee, Chromia and Brainstorm were released in December last year, which makes sense for a Quarter 4 release. These coming early tell me a few things. 1: that sadly, the Defensor wave will not have a shelf life as long as the previous waves. And thats too bad because it has, to me, the best use of the molds done so far. 2: it tells me that we will be getting Bruticus (and probably Scattershot) end of 2015 afterall.
But yeah, it is super weird to see that technically there is nothing planned for the rest of the year in terms of releases in both Generations AND Robots in Disguise (aside from leader Starscream).

It seems pretty obvious to me that they're gonna release Bruticus in maybe December this year, since the wave 4 is out so quickly. But I'm kinda wondering, do you guys think they are trying to push out the CW stuff as soon as possible, to make way for the Titan Wars stuff for next year? Seems like a possibility...
