The combiner head isn't included in the prototype.
Normally you'd see the antennae poking out of just under Silverbolt's/Scattorshot's chest, but there's just empty holes there.
If the head was just a straight-up repaint of Superion, I don't see why it would be excluded from the Prototype. Just some food for thought.

From the figures shown at Botcon, the combiner head IS just a straight up recolor of Superion's head. And by recolor I mean...not changed at all.

Here's hoping then that they HAVE changed the combiner head and just haven't updated the cover tab to close in the antennae holes.

Well, no. The head shown at Botcon wasn't even a recolor. It was just Superion's head. I said it then and I'll say it now: the head shown at Botcon was a placeholder because they hadn't designed an actual Computron/Betatron head yet.

Wonder if you can still turn him into his second alt mode?(laser canon)

Not sure about that. It seemed to be a slight recolour with black being under his eyes instead of silver paint, the antennas are more orange as well:
You guys can hope all you want, I will just stick to reality that a toy coming out end 2015/beginning 2016 was actually already finished. Do you guys really think Hasbro would not do this?
william-james88 wrote:That is a 3d rendering. There are many instances of colours not pannig out that way. It isnt an official pic of the actual physical toy. Look man, I am not looking to argue, but I am really encouraging you do not get your hopes up.

Hasbro said a few things at SDCC that continues to give me hope that we're getting a new head on Computron and that we'll be getting the rest of the Technobots.

I can't recall word-for-word what Hasbro said to me, but they alluded to his name as Betatron implied that there was more to come and that this was just a "beta" version of this toy. They said a lot of tongue-in-cheek comments and wouldn't give straight answers that made me believe that we'll be getting something better later down the road. Plus I know they read a lot of the comments on our forums so I've got my fingers crossed that they'll do us right by Computron. I'm assuming we'll know more next month at NYCC.

Well they are the last vehicle group (that isn't original), so, despite the heavy remolding that they would need to have done right by us, it wouldn't make a lot of sense to skip them for a third set of '84or something like that.

Also, doesnt it being called Betatron mean that this release is still happening but there will be another Scattershot torso issued later?
