Honestly, I gotta say, with brawl being the mess he is, I'm actually not feeling that pressured to get these guys, except for Swindle 8-)

Just wish they had more paint apps, especially Swindle's alt mode...

I so was looking forward to getting Bruticus, right up until I found out they aren't making Blast off. Now I have to sit and wait to see what Takara does, or just break down and get the 3rd party version.

I'm really torn; on one hand I want to wait for the Takara set, on the other I really like Onslaught and Swindle. Then again I don't want to take figures away from someone looking to complete the set.

I honestly think I'm going to double dip on this one, provided the Takara decco is better.

I have £30 in vouchers that could be used for Toys R Us, and if they still have that buy one get one half price deal on the deluxes that they're currently running here, I could afford to take a bit of a hit reselling it on.

Just don't want to miss out on the silver cheat variant before he's replaced with the olive version and starts to boost in price.

Thanks to fellow Seibertronian Fenrir72, we are now aware of some in hand images of Generations Legends Shockwave, brought to us by TF fan Anselm who found him in stores in Sanchung, New Taipei City. These give us the best look at the figure yet, along with a detailed look at how it can be connected to Bruticus and held as a gun by any figure with standard 5mm peg holes.

Legends Shockwave is an interesting figure with a lot of thought put into it. I had no idea he was meant to interact with Onslaught as well. Very cool backpack storage and and interesting handle.

Cool beans, I can't wait to get my grubby little hands on one.

Pfft, while I agree that (most) of the legends are quite well designed, I wouldn't discount the combiners themselves just because you don't like them for whatever reason. Both the deluxe and torso figures (with the exclusion of MM) are very well engineered to do what they were intended to.

Case in point, the aerial bots. Solid 'bot modes, passable (at the very least) alt mode - I'm quite fond of them - and a stunning combined mode; Silverbolt is a work of art as a torso...

I think they are both a mixed bag. I think Jetfire and Magnus were well executed leaders while the upcoming Stripes looks to be as much garbage as the recent windcharger. Also, both are more expensive than they should be with 10$ now being the legends price bracket and they dont even come with weapons (compared to only the year before when they had a whole new triplechanging targetmaster to go with them). And some legends dont even have thigh swivels which completely ruins some of them for me (like the seekers and the swerve mold). My basic Terrorsaur had better articulation than these legends toys. And I could go without the sea of repaints/retools in both classes too.

The Legends class toys probably don't have to conform to as strict of budget constraints as say the Leader class toys. Seeing as how they are both slotted the same allowance of materials. :-P

I love the new combiner wars stuff but I wish they had done another version of the FOC Bruticus but with new characters like the Ruination set, Both Twin twist and Top spin would have looked great in the G2 Saltman and Robotman x colors.

We get to see more in-hand images of the upcoming Combiner Wars Sky Lynx via a Taobao auction. A previous in-hand image showed the top-down shuttle mode view obscured by a plastic bag. There are a few new images that also show the figure in a fan made lynx mode as well as what is considered to be his main robot mode. Also more shuttle mode images featuring top-down and side views as well as the Sky Reign toro mode.

I find it easy to discount them as they tried to make fifty some odd characters wit only about five different molds. The mold fatigue from CW has really destroyed my ability to appreciate or enjoy this line.
