It will all be alright Screamer. Eventually the QC bug will move on to someone else, or designs will actually improve to better the figures themselves

That's actually not too much of a problem for me at this point, but I am well aware of that fix and will use use it as soon as necessary, but the pins in his shoulders are really loose...

And at this point, swindle has the biggest problem of them all with his leg shells not lining up with anything, yielding a vehicle mode that can't be properly formed and an unstable leg mode, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out whats causing this to happen

That is some of the worst luck I've ever seen. Maybe the good thoughts I'm sending your way will help?

I'm going to be a nitpicker and point out that the toy is not misassembled until you perform that mod.

By that definition Skids' thighs were properly assembled on the wrong legs in the factory and miss-assembling them at home fixed the problem.

Um.... no? The molded detail, paint apps, and a hasbro rep all confirm that the Brawl mold is assembled correctly. If you perform the mod, his unit number tampograph ends up on his crotch, he has paint where the sun don't shine, and for bonus points, he holds together WORSE than the default configuration (on mine at least). Whether you like it or not, Brawl was not misassembled in package.

Just by looking at the mold I would think it's possible to pull off some sort of pseudo cannon.

I just took a few photos of some weird and wacky configurations I came up with when messing with Dragstrip. (sorry a lot of the images are sideways lol.)

Alright so I found the little pipes that went on Cybertron Scout Class Clocker, and found that they actually fit great on Dragstrip! I am thinking of maybe getting another Dragstrip or a Mirage to customize as Clocker.









Even the limb modes look good with them!





ALSO I found out that the combiner bit and the sword can be configured into this position due to the bent handle on the sword.







Could this be what the bent handle was for?

Also I found the foot makes a pretty good stand.





Also, bonus weird monster mode.

I love my Swindle. Maybe he could use a few more paint apps, but honestly I don't know what or where. he's pretty good as-is.

I think Baltmatrix made a fan mode of Scattershots cannon. I have seen it before and it was cool looking. Go look for baltmatrix's review for it

So I decide to get to the bottom of what's wrong with my swindle; the results weren't good or conclusive...

I shaved some plastic off of where his legs overlap his - um - crotch bulge in vehicle mode, that helps a bit, but the issue seems to be that parts unknown seem to have been miss-measured somehow.

When the windscreen is removed from the rocker arm, it sits forward of the rocker arm by a few millimeters and doesn't line up with the arms, but I can't get past the fact that his leg shells don't line up at all with his crotch bulge, and I think that's very telling of what's wrong with him.

And yet, if they were shortened to line up, the leg would be shortened to be a different length than all of the other combine limbs, so my only conclusion is that some part of the leg were discovered to be the wrong length at some point, and were hurriedly remolded with nary a thought of what the consequences could mean

one thing though....i think it's pure laziness on Hasbro's part....that they didn't change Superion's head for Betatron! i can only hope that Takara does something about that.....& also with Computron(if there is a Computron?)

There is a computron and they didn't change his head for that either. Just Google combiner wars computron seibertron and you will find it.

There is a computron and they didn't change his head for that either. Just Google combiner wars computron seibertron and you will find it.

ah right! well hopefully a 3rd party head'll come out......so you can swap it
