We kinda already got those via Universe and the new mold Primal from Beast Wars 10th Anniversary.

Yeah, but the Dinobot and Cheetor molds really didn't seem that good to me watching reviews and looking them up, and them and Primal predate me even knowing what Beast Wars was, let alone actually collecting these guys. that's why combiner wars excited me so much: wave upon wave of classic characters with little modernization or updates in the past many years. Even if some didn't make sense, I still got them and I love them. :MAXIMAL:

That Cheetor figure is horrible due to hunch back it has with it's "working mouth" gimmick.

For anyone who has Combiner Wars Wreck-Gar, does it combine with Sky Reign in any way? I only ask because I saw an image recently of Wreck-Gar in packaging with the "COMBINES TO FORM" sticker on the front.

That's been extensively discussed over the last few days. Nobody can find a concrete way for them to combine, and apparently the final versions of Wreck Gar's packaging do not include the "combine to form" label.

In other news, I found an Onslaught last night. Here's my combiner lineup now:

But my Onslaught seems to have two noticeable flaws. First, his right leg doesn't want to slide all the way in on the swivel tab. I can push it in but it slides back out to where you see in the pictures. i can't find any excess mold flash or other deformities on the peg or inside the slot so I really don't know what's going on here.

Secondly, his head only sits at a downward angle. Again, it can be moved up (with some force), but it defaults back to "looking down on you". I haven't taken it off the socket yet so I don't know if there's a deformed ball joint causing this or what, but it's annoying. I'm thinking about trying to find another and returning this one or something.

And as you can see from the combiner lineup, I still need Streetwise, Blades, Vortex, and Blast Off. Sadly I can't justify spending over $60 for simple redecos right now. Hoping to find a sale.

A few quick thoughts...

The Reprolabels for Combiner Wars stuff seem great.

The line seems to really be hitting its stride at Wave 5.

The figures I care most about are the new characters and re-worked takes of old characters (mostly for my own repurposing). Oddly enough, I've really come to appreciate some of the non-combiner guys being combiners. It's my own take on Operation Combination...one where team dynamics have become mandatory.

In general, the stock combiners of traditional teams still can't compete with the unofficial offerings. (but what do you expect when one cost about $100 and the other cost about $500?)

btw are there no custom fixes for the loose hip joint on Sky Lynx? or maybe someone has a spare Voyager figure they could junk that has a similar style joint needed in order to swap that out in place of the crappy one in Sky Lynx! or just wait for the Takara version
