I'm on the fence about Onslaught. He was the only G1 Combaticon I had though. Something about him isn't doing it for me, but Bruticus looks totally boss. #thestruggle

He's not doing it for me neither actually. They say the truck mode is supposed to be facing a certain way but it looks like 2 ends to me and I dont really know what I am looking at. And the robot mode looks like a redeco's hotspot in robot mode, especially the leg area with the light bar still there. But looking at the g1 toy and cartoon model he looks pretty good and on point. I just preffer the swat team onslaught we got in the universe line and as someone says, that is all personal preference.

That's not Onslaught's cartoon model. That his Dreamwave MTMTE profile book artwork.

This is his cartoon model, and like those of the other Combaticons, it's a very made up design when compared to the toy:

lol, did they copy/paste the legs on him, how could he have wheels on the same side of each leg, it doesn't work like that

So, yeah, they did, I guess

Boy, that's an awkward oversight on the official show art model, or whatever

That's actually pretty astonishing considering the magnitude of animation errors that happened throughout that show :HEADHURTS:

Not sure if I was misunderstood. I was just being sarcastic, especially since just a couple of days ago we got animation stills of Bruticus beside himself....

In all seriousness, this wouldn't surprise me. The cartoons really just made the toys look cool for us kids in the 80s so we would bug our parents to get them for us. At least that's what I did...

Bruticus is disappointing, not only because of the repaints, not only because Brawl appears to be an epic fail, even Onslaught is wanting.

My Superion still does not have an opponent, and I just added a member. I decided with Hasbro's recent coupon code to get Blades as the opposite limb to Alpha Bravo. Looks amazing. I'll will eventually share pics of my Superion in all of his configurations. I just haven't taken the pics yet.

I wish Devastator wasn't so big. Six large deluxe class figures would have worked much better and as I had Superion and Devastator as a kid that would have made me very happy. If I can take advantage of this or a later sale I might still get the big guy.

I wish Hasbro was also planning on releasing a Decepticon version of Victorion with a good paint scheme. Even an alternate Autobot version would be fine since I could use Reprlabels to change the faction. We just don't have good Decepticon combiners, so I have no war.

I had Scattershot as a kid, and he would be an instant buy as another torso option if he was retooled correctly, but this lazy too red version of Superion may as well be called Inferion. Why couldn't Hasbro have pulled a Cyclonus with the retool?

I so want RID Optimus Prime/Omega Prime from Hot Spot, but my gut tells me that will eventually be some sort of very expensive exclusive. Great for everyone who can afford those, I hope when they make it they do the character justice with the anime redesigned Optimus Prime head and the unique Super Mode/Omega Prime head. If Hot Spot goes on a great sale I might cave since I did play with him at a neighbor's house way back when.

However my plan is to stick with flying vehicles for my Autobot combiner, so maybe I'll get Sky Lynx if the torso mode works. The same neighbor had him, too, so both have a significant nostalgia factor for me.

I won't go into my disappointments for the upcoming line here, but I am looking forward to Galvatron and the eventual Astrotrain. I'm just mentioning them because I have to plan my budget for next year and I don't want to blow it now.

On a side note, can someone provide a pic showing how a CW gestalt scales with a supreme class figure like Cybertron Starscream?

It would be really nice if the new Titan Wars line had a Decepticon that could go toe-to-toe with an Autobot CW gestalt. Overloard would be a good option. I doubt Hasbro thinks like that, though.

Combined form of combaticon limbs. I don't have onslaught yet so PC Prime is standing in.

Gotta say, I agree with optibotimus. Brawl is a huge disappointment. The rest are cool, swindle being the best. Also, I've taken to calling "Blast-off" "Blast-away" in hopes that takara does a shuttle version and it sees a wider releases through Hasbro maybe.

That's funny. I just rewatched then and found them to be even smarter than I remembered as a kid. I mean, they aren't Shakespeare, but compared with today's attempts at animation directed only to little kids (i.e. Not adults) they were pretty good.

Yes. Brawl is indeed whack. It seems they intended for him to lock into place but for one reason or another it just doesn't connect and sits there. I'm not sure what they were thinking. Had they have him fold completely down he could have locked in but perhaps they though he would be too short. That's understandable I guess but what they did didn't work.

I think it's similar to the Blitzwing mold. It may have worked in the planning stage but it doesn't work when put to practice. I think a retooling could fix it, with a hook there and a harder edge there, but I wouldn't hold my breath :(

I haven't really watched them since I was carytheweeone. I did however watch the first few episodes a few months back. At first it was really funny, then it was really awesome! It amazes me how much of the mythos that are still adhered to today were set in the first few episodes.

Dang it now I want to watch them. Better yet I want to make a drinking game while watching them 8-} I see some binge watching in my future.

At least once a year I do a G1 watch through (finishing with Rebirth). Some of the episodes really take a concerted effort to watch through, while some are so awesome I wish they were longer.

Well - if G2 Bruticus looked the same under normal lighting as it does in that box art, that would actually be cool. Instead of the 90s technicolor nightmare it actually is....

Only draw for me would be that it's guaranteed to have legends Shockwave in it, whereas he's sold out everywhere at the moment.
