True. Rook is definitely better for Chase in robot mode. Overall very creative nonetheless!

I'm looking for parts, Help Me Out Please!

Yeah, I am inclined to agree actually. Whilst I do love digibashing, I do have the occasional pang of guilt where I look at myself and think "am I any better than Hasbro? Why do I cry out for less useless repaints whilst producing ideas for them myself?" Though personally I'd rather see those repaints rather than some of the repaints we got. (I'm looking at you, Wheeljack and Smokescreen...)
TL;DR: Less useless crap like the entire 1984 Autobot cast as combiner limbs, more original stuff/unexpected homages. Or you know, some original molds now and again would be nice.
I'm not actually sure if I'm going to do Trailbreaker into Strongarm. It's either that or I get the RID mold and upgrade it heavily with Shapeways parts/kitbashing.
I think the difference is that: we would take the *better* ones we made over the *dumb* ones hasbro released; whereas hasbro would just tack it onto the end of the line and extend it even more.
I feel that we have more of a knack for creating better/more creative deco's than hasbro ever could

I am not a G1 fan, please treat my opinions as such.

Same here, tho Strongarm looks pretty much incredible.

Sorry for the delay in uploading these pictures. The Holidays kinda got in the way. I have many more to upload too, but I'll start with these.
There was a fix for Brawl where the legs are popped off at the hips and the pelvis is reversed in all modes. The question arose whether this would hinder the other modes of Brawl. Here are some comparison pics in all modes. The left side is the "fix." The right side is the original assembly.

As you can see, there are really no negatives to the functions in each mode. There really is only a couple of cosmetic differences. I haven't decided which direction I am going to keep Brawl...
[Edit]I tracked down the original comment:
Also, I have some pics that I will post tomorrow of Defensor. Cheers!

Silly - For a first try bash that looks really good!
His head is a little big which is ... Silly!
But ya, good job!
... and thanks for reminding me that I need to stick the TAV repaint of Scoop, Roadblock, with my Devy. He can be his little errand boy.
Edit: After another look. I bet you had to make his head that big to cover Scrapper's giant noodle.

You assembled them again? So that means there are screws and not rivets right? Haven't gotten to this mold yet....or seen a local release just yet.

No dis-assembly via screws or pins needed for this mod. Just pop the legs off at the waist ball joint, swivel the waist around 180 degrees, and pop the legs back on. It's a very simple fix, doesn't hinder any mode that I saw, and is easily reversible, if desired. Let me see if I can find that YouTube vid and re-post it here for ya....yeah, here it is!

No, there's a video floating around, but you yank the legs off at the ball joint and spin the pelvis 180 degrees via a mushroom peg, then put the legs back on

Okay, with the pics of Brawl taken care of, here are a couple of other older requests surrounding Defensor that I photographed. (My apologies for the photo-blitz. I'm not terribly apologetic, but still...
)
This wasn't super easy, but it was more stable than I expected. I took these pics before I had United Warriors Groove in hand, so no replacement arm, sorry. (I should've popped in Prowl, now that I think about it...)

You may be able to see from those last two pics, but the way the mod works is to use the long gun posts in Hot Spot (because you have to) and point the short posts in toward the center. Then, twist Blades's fists around to cover the short posts. I'm pretty sure my Blades is as stable as he is because of the tight shoulders. If you Blades has loose joints, then this may not work.
Next! I can't find the request (and perhaps it was made in the United Warriors thread...Fenrir, was it you?) but someone asked about BigGroove on Hasbro's Defensor. Here he is!

And just so they are not left out...

Defensor:"There there, fellas. You can still be a part of the team."
Rook: "They look like big, strong hands, don't they?"
LittleGroove: "Maybe you should go talk to Arcee or Chromia..."

Rodimus Prime wrote:Since we're on the topic of modding, is there any way to attach Blades in chopper mode to Defensor's back?

You would be very surprised at how articulated the original skylynx is. I highly doubt that there is that much more articulation to this one aside from the legs. And even then it isnt that they are more articulated but more that they can hold a pose instead of a predetermined one due to the electronics. The wings flipping up is new though.

Hmmm interesting, I kinda wonder if they were just being cheap or if they legitimately did it for that effect. Probably both.
