Has anyone seen the Combiner Wars leader Starscream in retail yet? I have not. It seems like all of the stores here either have stuff behind time, or ahead of time.

I dunno if anyone answered this already, but I've seen him. He was a grey import at my LCS. They had Skywarp that day too.

i think he's showing up in UK retail! although i haven't checked the Smyths Toys near me(yes! i've now got a local one) for a while now! so i'll need to check there next time i'm in town.

I think you might be thinking of Pathfinder, who was a Go-Bot. I-Gear did a redeco of their not-Cosmos as not-Pathfinder and called it "Roswell."

EDIT: And there was also a blue and yellow redeco of G1 Cosmos as Path Finder.

Question--so, since Scattershot is being released and the packaging diagram shows Betatron. Does that mean "Computron" will be an exclusive like the G2 colored Superion & Menasor, or will later Scattershot releases have packaging for Computron?

Scattershot is a box set like Vicky and the G2 guys. Whether or not it is an exclusive is up for debate.

Thanks---That's interesting. Well I'll be getting the G2 sets, because I know they wont be part of the Unite Warriors line. But I'll wait to see what UW does with Victorian & Computron. If they don't do anything, then I may get these CW sets as well.

When a bunch of G2 came out that wasn't know at the time especially mucg like the oddly coloured Mirage with the purple and Magenta or the green Swoop - did any of that material include a G2 Computron concept colour scheme ?

I don't recall seeing very much in the way of G2 "Special Team" combiner colours that didn't eventually actually get used even if only in tiny numbers like Defensor and Menasor or actually just got normally released like Bruticus & Superion did.

I'd be interested to know if there is such art in existence - It has crossed my mind in the past that possibly the Seacon "Piranacon" repaints that nearly came out as Universe toys could have perhaps dated back as far as G2 as an idea... as after all you can make a good argument that the AOE Dinobot toy colours have their origins in G2.

Hopefully even some minor tweaks to Scattershot's colours will make a world of difference in making him look like Computron much more - as well as I suppose making the "Betatron" ideal make a little more sense - though the problem there is that it's still just another Scattershot.

Perhaps one could slap a G2 label on on or the other of them to solve the problem.

Well, just be ready for, very possibly, quite a long wait, as TT seems to be doing 4 UW sets a year, computron and Victorion (if they do her at all) might not be released until next January or later. This year is o/p maximus, and Grand Galvatron so far, with Bruticus possibly being the 7th or 8th figure, and I imagine TT will be doing Sky Reign at some point too

TT did four combiners in the second half of last year. So honestly I think it's more likely that they'll do 6+ this year and end it in December. That way unite warriors will have run the same amount of time as combiner wars.

In all seriousness, probably the only thing that will make me legitimately desire Computron as much as I did Superion, Defensor, Menasor, and BRUTICUS is if we got an accompanying Abominus. I believe in even teams, and having three Autobot combiners up against two Decepticon combiners is treason in my home!

btw same thing seems to be happening with Titan Wars.....you've got Blaster, Hardhead, Powermaster Optimus Prime, Leader Class Prime, a possible Brainstorm & Fort Max. on the Decepticon side....the only one's i can think of are Skullcruncher, Soundwave(Blaster repaint/retool) & Trypticon(after the whole voting thing).

Would you consider them not ordering the gen Arcee and Chromia wave or Gen Brainstorm proper? They also never had the legends wave with groove.

To be fair, I never saw anything after Skywarp/mini-cons wave at any of the stores I went too, then it took until june for my stores to stock cw figures properly...
