Sure looks like it would be "good enough for Hasbro" to me.![]()
Anyway, it's already been confirmed to be a fan custom, so all this talk is moot anyway.

Hasbro said they would never release a torso without all the limbs since they found messing up with the first two waves a mistake. And they also stated (in what I still find a weird statement) that he symbolized an early version of Computron (). What this tells me is that IF Computron is released next year, it would be as a box set with an upgraded Scattershot torso (not much difference, but better paint apps for sure). But yeah, Hasbro already revealed the first 3 quarters of next year so there isnt space for individual limbs at retail (Bruticus first quarter, skyreign second quarter, titan returns third and 4th quarter).
Did anyone actually confirm that tw is starting 3rd quarter, or is that just something we made up and rolled with?

Hasbro confirmed it: fall 2016. We usually get the toys way before the indicated official date, which deals more with the time of saturation (aka a conservative estimate of when they will be easily found all over retail). So yes, THIRD quarter which would mean anytime between July and September.

Oh I get you, and its all good. I do understand why people see a gap though, because the protectobots did appear during the summer rather than the beginning of fall, but both those dates end up within the third quarter.

Well I thought the g2 box sets (sups and menasor) might fill out the chirstmas gap, then victorion and computron could fill out the cw -tw transition phase... but if the online pre-order dates end up being true for bruticus being out this month, it would point to some wave shenanigans somewhere along the lines
That Bot wrote:I fully expect the Technobots to either be Takara exclusive or not done by Hasbro until late 2016, early 2017, which is kind of frustrating because we know that the Nosecone tooling of the Brawl mold exists, so clearly it got far enough along in planning for there to be a mold made before they reshuffled their plans. I suspect the Technobots would have taken the place of the Autobot cars, and Commander Modesty would have been the free torso. I would have preferred that arrangement, but I guess Hasbro's need to get the classic characters back on shelves trumps the need to complete the classic combiner teams? I'd be curious to be a fly on the wall at that board meeting.

I would love to e in those meetings too. Would be a bit more fun than the meetings I attend in my workplaceOne thing though, while the new weapon drill seems find on Ram Horn, it is WAY too small to replicate the nosecone on Nosecone. It would look pretty bad and quite mediocre.

Is this your first experience with the mold?

It also helps that the Streetwise chestplate is molded to resemble Prowl's police car front end chest.Hellscream9999 wrote:william-james88 wrote:RAcast wrote:So a buddy of mine found CW Prowl the other day, so I've been searching the last couple days, then lo-and-behold, I found him today! Even if it isn't, I've noticed that prowl utilizes the mold far better than streetwise. I dunno, just something about it that doesn't do it for me, maybe the cream, maybe the severe disconnect from the character, but it might be prowl's incredible headsculpt, along with the beautiful crisp white; wish they would've painted half of the lightbar blue though, that would have been amazing to look at.

Yes, it's my first version of this mold; I haven't had any interest in previous iterations. I also agree that Streetwise's color choice was a bit...odd. It definitely took away that he was the only Protectobot not cast in a nice crisp white.
And that head sculpt is just so, so good.

That Bot wrote:ACTUALLY. I recently got First Aid and Dead End and I found some problems with mine in particular. My First Aid's handfootgun seems to have been misassembled. The four-finger portion is missing the slot between the knuckles that lets it attach to the back of First Aid's vehicle mode. And my Dead End seems to be a tiny bit shorter as a leg than my other figures. Has anybody else encountered these particular problems? Any known solutions?

Bringing this back up because Prowl is the same mold. Is yours the same leg length or shorter?
I haven't noticed that the mold is actually shorter. But, because Dead End's legs won't stay tabbed together in car/limb mode, he is always slowly getting shorter as Menasor's weight separates the legs. I have to go squeeze his calf every couple of days. That Bot wrote:I know how to position Drag Strip as a leg. My Dead End is still slightly shorter in leg mode than all my other figs, and I now own one of every deluxe mold.

Yes, I'm fully aware it's not a reputable news source, hence why I haven't submitted a news tip and I said I was giving a heads up on the origin of a potential bogus rumour.
