Well, we could have gotten sweeps, but with the Unite warriors Galvatronus revealed we are now not getting any officially :BOT:

Sweeps nothing, where are the d@mn seeker limbs already [-(

Buy 4 Galvatronus' and you will get 4 Starscreams to repaint as you will! :BOT:

hmm, can't do that if the plastic cracks =;

But, seriously, where are they? The heads are already there, the line is full of repaints; I guess since there were two sets of seeker in combiner wars they thought releasing a third set of seekers - that could actually combine - in a line about combiners wouldn't... work?

Pretty much. At least could have done them as voyagers for better scale though :BOT:

So, I'm getting into my CW and UW haul, and I've noticed something that I am curious if anyone else has encountered. I've only opened Leader Skywarp, Vortex, and Blastoff, and of the three, only Vortex came with an instruction sheet. Is anyone else seeing anything like this? I'm going to open others in a bit, but it seemed like a weird trend...

HA! The line is so chock full of re-use's, even hasbro is acknowledging it by not giving you directions, assuming people already have some version of the mold already

Yeah, I was thinking much the same thing. Indeed, I've got all the CW figs to this point so I don't need the instructions. But it was very strange to me.

I have opened both Brawl and Swindle, and both of these new (-ish in Swindle's case) figure molds came with instructions. Must just be my luck...

I have a serious question!

Should I get CW Cyclonus? Premium Collectables have him on sale at the moment. I have zero interest in that Galvatron combiner thingy that's coming out, and I actually have zero interest in using CW Cyclonus as a torso (much like Sky Lynx, who I want, just not as a torso).

I'm actually pretty content with 2008's Cyclonus as he displays well with Scourge, so I'm not sure where CW Cyclonus would fit in.

I just have this feeling if I don't get him I might be missing out on something good.

Thoughts?

I love him, especially as a torso...

He's a cool figure, but he doesn't scale well with anyone - if that's what you care about.

His bot mode is bulky and 'roided out, he stands free from having to look like any other version of him; I love it.

His vehicle mode is pretty cool, looks like a massive, freighter version of his vehicle mode - I dig it, makes it seem massive and powerful.

That's really all I can offer if you're never going to use him as a torso.

If the deal is good enough, I say, try it out; he isn't hiding anything (except a head in his stomach), so what you see is pretty much what you get...

Hope this helps :-s

If you have Silverbolt you won't be missing out on anything except those little peggable fins he comes with.

I have my CW Cyclonus on my Lost Light shelf, but I don't really feel that he fits very well. To beefy.

His coloring is great, the Galvy head is really nice and the alt mode nose cone is nice and Cyclony. Unless it's a stupid good impulse price it sounds like Cyclonus has no where to go in your collection. I would have skipped if I had the older mold.

I really like CW Cyclonus. I don't own any other Cyclonus figures, so maybe my standards were low, but I think it's a great figure, as both a torso and as a stand alone toy. That purple really pops, and he looks pretty cool next to CW Magnus, representing the Lost Light crew. He also looks good with Stunticon limbs and Combaticon limbs. I need to get a Whirl to go with him just because they're the Lost Light's antagonistic Odd Couple basically, and trying to decide if I should get all Offroads or all Blast Offs for him as limbs. Which looks better with purple, the gray or brown?

The purple on BO is very lovely and is also about a dead match for Cyclonus. It also looks good with the brown. My vote is for 4 BOs. As a bonus they can all fly around together.

I am also on the fence about him. I think it will mostly depend on whether or not you are gonna get Titan Wars Galvatron, cuz if you want a good Cyclonus to go with Galvatron, get the CW version. I am gonna probably wait till Galvatron comes out and people have the chance to review it, and if he is a good enough figure to not make me smash my keyboard, I'll probably get him and CW Cyclonus. I guess it also depends on how many Masterpieces I still have to get by then too. :\

Either Bruticus or Defensor because of their overall diversity compared to the rest.

Hey, welcome to Seibertron, man :-D

Well, you have options, every one has they're merit's, so here you go:

Superion for overall cohesion and the nicest, most solid combined mode, the slim arms and legs make him look very proportionate. He truly comes together the best in combined mode, and is far and away the best overall.

Galvatronus + 4 limbs of your choosing for all the perks of superion (see above) - but in evil purple. The 'limb freedom' means that you can choose your favorites, or just the best limbs, overall.

Defensor is big, bulky and very well-realized. The backpack on hotspot is a work of art, and hotspot himself is an excellent figure. The only downside is the stick arm that blades can/will provide - exacerbated by pairing him with rook as arms, and the fact that most of defensor's articulation is obstructed at the shoulders. This can be rectified slightly by getting the TT's UW Defensor as bigroove makes a fairly slim arm, and has the 'true G1' look going for it - if that's important to you.

'84 limb's, as Optimus Maximus (or whatever) will likely disappoint you if he is your only combiner, I would say avoid that torso (also why there is no mm recommendation); HOWEVER the limbs themselves, are very enjoyable, and pull off each mold very well (prowl in particular easily beats out streetwise, and I would go as far as recommending that you swap prowl into defensor), and they definitely work nicely with superion.

Bruticus
seems to fix most of the issue's defensor has, and his torso mode seems even more solid as well. His limbs are very well proportioned and (apart from brawl) his individual figures offer a great variety, something no other combiner can quote offer.

My final opinion would be:

If you want a 'team' go Bruticus or Superion

If you want a great combiner go superion/galvatronus torso + 4 limbs; you can pm me if you want a run down on the individual figures, or watch some reviews.
I am not a G1 fan, please treat my opinions as such.

If you mean ANY combiner I'd say get Devastator, but if you just mean the normal ones I'd probably wanna go with one of the versions of Superion.

If you're talking TT's yeah, that's considerable, but hasbro's is far too much for what little you get for me to recommend it to anyone >:oP
