Metro Prime, if your still in here...
For shnitz and gurggles, I just stood Leader Jetfire next to MP-10.
Jetzy is 2 heads shorter.
GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!!!

Yep! Jetfire's Seeker-sized, which works a lot better IMO considering his and Starscream's fellowship in the cartoon.

Is the canon even removable? It appears to be attached by a red swing arm if you look closely at both Megatrons. It might be removable from the swing arm but don't be too shocked if it's stuck on there.

Thats a good idea. I think the whole thing is detachable. We've seen it on his arm and in his hand. Does the gun barrel look like it telescopes in and out?

EDIT: Just looked at all the pics on this page. It does telescope, but in the shot of Megs(just above) that appears to be the farthest in it goes.

The more I look at the back end of that barrel, the more I'm hoping that it's hollowed out so you can just reverse the cannon around. That'll work for me.

I've been hoping that ever since I first saw pics. The back end of the barrel makes for a much better fusion cannon. (Ideally, the cannon would split so the thinner end could attach to his back.)

I am disappointed that they didn't remold a lot more of the mold for the Armada version. Considering all the changes they made to turn Jetfire into Thundercracker, I would've really liked to see more than just a head swap between the Megatrons (I guess that's what 3rd parties are for).

I'd have hoped this would have been some sort of flip around chest plate as opposed to a sticker. Megs isn't going to be an Autobot forever, but it is a fun gimmick while it lasts.

I agree with what someone said about the articulation looking limited in these recent pics. I hope to see some better action pics sooner than later!

This may very well be the wrong thread for this question but it seems to be on topic.
When will Optimus side with the Decepticons in the IDW comics so we can get some more "fleshed" out 'cons aside from Thundercracker and Megatron? The arc after next, right?

FOR FREEDOM! of all sentient beings.

Also, that Decepticon insignia on G1 inspired Megatron should be moved and scaled up to that recessed square which should also rotate to display the Autobrand.
That's definitely on topic.

edit: what jogunwarrior said.

Hello Transformer Collectors.

Thought I let you know that the Transformers Combiners have made it to West Texas El Paso. I Went to Target today to try my luck. I found the Deluxe Combiners, Skydive, Dragstrip, and Firefly. They were listed for $14.99 each. They had 2 Skydives, 1 dragstrip and 3 Firefly. Also found the new Robots in Disguise figures, Steeljaw, Bumblebee, Grimlock, and Strongarm listed for $14.99. They also had legends versions of these for $5.99

When I scaned the Combiners at the Barcode reader they were listing for sale at $11.99 so I ended up buying a second Firefly and Skydive, more than I was originally going to purchase. Can't beat that. Unfortunately the Robots in Disguise were retail price $14.99. I picked up Grimlock and Strongarm.

Still nice to know these are slowing making their way out. Glad I didn't buy them on Amazon for the ridiculous markup price of $18.99.

So last night I popped the blisters on Firefly and Dragstrip. Just finished messin' with Skydive and Alpha Bravo.
I have a few minor gripes, but it's all the same junk as recent Gen releases, wonky paint, hollow bits, blah blah blah. I am a little worried about their durability over time. we'll see.
Other than that, One word, crammed into another word, to describe all 4...
FAN-FRIKKIN-TASTIC!

Such great updates, fun transformations, look great in both modes, nice ratchets, everything pegs tight, and they all have phenomenal head sculpts.
My favorite out of the four is Dragstrip. Something about him screams Prince to me, but Prince when he is ripping a sweet heavy metal guitar solo! His head sculpt is so unique, and his robot proportions are really cool.
Hard to pick a favorite of the Arialbots. They're all great. Even the new guy (Alpha).

I don't think Leader Megs is going to match MP-10's height, and even if he is close ... he is too slender, and doesn't have the mass to go toe to toe with MP Optimus

It'd still be a better match than the real MP Megatron to MP01 Prime.

Most of Jetfire's mass went into his blindingly chromed fast pack and accessories, though, which was why he was so short, simple and hollow for a Leader Class. All Megs has is a pistol and a missile launcher, and the remaining budget has to go somewhere. He's probably going to be taller and/or less hollow, at the very least.

MP01 is big, beefy and sturdy while MP05 is skinny, skeletal and extremely flimsy for a Masterpiece figure. They match up in height and general aesthetics, but not much else.

Okay, What if Hasbro pulls a swerve on us in later waves.

Take a look at the attached photos.

I'm thinking that in terms of the Torso Mode's appearance, a Retool of Silverbolt into a Bruticus component could look GREAT in combined mode.

Which leads me to thinking, What if they make Blast-off the new Torso for Bruticus.

Think about it for a sec. People always cite Bruticus as one of the most obvious examples of how scale completely fails transformers toys. Hasbro scaled down Groove to a legend for the Defensor that was listed in TRU/Walmart stock computers already.

Not to mention that we're getting a new mould, Rook, who's rumoured to be a Police Paddywagon/Swat vehicle.

Who else do we know has also been moulded as a SWAT armoured carrier? Onslaught.

Obviously, Silverbolt wouldn't retool well into onslaught well, BUT, retooling him into Blast-off would work well, as it would up-scale the character in the group who's supposed to be the largest, while at the same time, be a reference to the G1 show, where Blastoff's wheelbase and wings formed Bruticus's chest plate.

In doing so, this leaves onslaught out of the loop, but that's where Rook comes in. If these 2 share a mould, we get Onslaught as a Deluxe Paddy-wagon Limb, Swindle a retool/straight repaint of Off-Road, Vortex a retool/straight repaint of Alpha-Bravo, leaving the only guy not yet accounted for as Brawl, who doesn't have a matching combiner wars Tank mould yet.

Just sharing some of my thoughts on this as it's been bugging the hell out of me. [/wild mass guessing]
