Are you handy with a paint brush and do you have a club membership? I have neither so I am screwed all the way, but if you have those then all hope is not lost. These figures are available on their website store later. However, it will be unpainted with no stickers. But autobot stickers arent hard to come by and ratchet just needs some red and black in certain areas to work. It will cost you double retail for an unpainted figure, I will grant you that, but its not impossible to own.

Agamemnon wrote:Yeah, I'm not a club member. I spend too much on plastic crack as it is. And really, maybe I was a bit too strong in the wording that this sucks. More, I am disappointed, but not enough to get one and paint it myself. (I have done some model painting, but not for a number of years.)

Would there have been a middle gound (like a pricey exclusive that you dont have to paint) or is it that you would only have gotten this if it was a normal retail figure? I will tll you what I think sucks a bit: this Ratchet looks more like Ratchet than CW Ironhide looks like Ironhide. And I actually preffer the first air mode for some reason (the arms sure peg better for arms mode) so it kind of blows that its the other mold we got doubles of at retail. Also, neither of the two we got at retail actually represent a G1 characer properly. Offroad is a new character and Ironhide's alt mode is movie themed with a G1 pallette. While the van is perfect for Ratchet and First Aid.

I did, but I'm a completionist. If I'm honest, I like that one more than the G1-ish Megatron.
