That sounds quite plausible to me though. You never know. Last year's Takara rerelease of Rumble and Frenzy was one hell of a pleasant surprise. What you suggest sounds likely but we might wait a while. They did just finally release Skids and we are all still waiting on Jiahaxus

You can see they resculpted the inside of the mouth for there to be a face in it. The head is the same essentially, but there are eyes and a mouthplate in the beast mouth. Also, we know what he is holding. It is that arms micron bird plane that turns into a weapon. That is an homage to the G1 animal breast plates each would have. It also gives him a 6th member (

It's just interesting to me; with a lot of the points people have made, it does seem like one is inferior. Your last point here really sums up how I see it.
I just prefer figures that accurately look like the characters they're supposedly representing from the show. And when a version comes out that is less accurate with something important like the character's head sculpt or alt mode (especially if it's both), I don't see how that version
could be better.
Not trying to start a debate, just glad Takara attempts giving us figures that are solid representations of the characters from the shows.
I meant it differently though. Since I dont know the G1 character that well and have no attachment with him, I dont care if one is more accurate than the other to the source material, I care that it is a different toy and that my combiners look different from one to the next. I am looking at the effort spent. And one look at CW Nosecone and Lightspeed as well as the unchanged Superion Torso makes this an easy decision for me. But what I was also trying to say was that Hasbro did make the set inticing in its own way. You get an exclusive retool and head with Strafe AND you get a bonus figure and you get some really nice hands and feet. Plus that scattershot in vehicle has the best paint job I have ever seen on a toy at this price point:
So both sets have good stuff to offer, hence why one is not inferior in a general sense, though I do preffer Takara for my own needs.
