As I said above, mold reuse will happen with the decepticon combiners but we'll probably still see them trickle out slowly as autobots have always sold better than decepticons with the target markets. There's no way they would put three combiners out in a single line on their own. The good news is that we may get completely new autobot/maximal combiners out of redecos of the molds.

I want it. Even if we get a Predaking with CW, I doubt it will look anything like that.

This guy here cost me £100 actually, but it is titan class http://sirtoys.com/toys.php?c=16&p=2222 ... ng_OS.html
Is it any good though? I watched some reviews where it barely stands on its own and falls apart with the slightest of play.

Feral Rex looks nice but his playability is minimal because of weak joints, heavy limbs, and questionable design choices. I actually posted a rant about him in the FR thread a few days ago, where Will posted his KO there. I would happily trade him in for a sturdy Hasbro Predaking that looks as good as Devastator does.

When I saw it, and for that low price, I couldnt resist. And I told myself the same thing, regardless of what we get, it wont look like this and might not scale like this.
ZeroWolf wrote:That's a fine looking predaking you got there will![]()
Thanks, here is another pick to show some extra scale.

Combiner BROS!
Also, if someone wants Predaking for less than 100£ that scales with the current combiners, Platinum Predaking is still available and is just as tall as any of the CW scramble city guys.

For 100$, I cant complain. The plastic is fine, everything tabs in and he can stand fine. He's heavy though and its not easy posing him with that sword, as you can see from above. Oh and he comes with 6 members, you get the normal 5 plus catilla who is made from the same mold as Rampage (he is used as the arm in the pic).

If I had £100 I would jump on him, he looks really good next to devy, which is why I would like to see them do predaking at titan class. He should tower over the others...not like he's ever going to be in scale with his 'rival' sky lynx anyway (unless in sky reign firm...that is such an awesome name)

Errrggggggg I HATE KOs!
If I have 250 USD to spend around my b-day, I might get Devy then, but I also have some other things I need to get (Like a drum pad). I know he is only about 220 USD on TFsource, but I was factoring in the other stuff.

Even if it's a ko of a nonoffical product?

3rd party products are their own thing. The designers of them put much effort into designing them just like the designers of official figures. Think of 3rd party companies the fan-artists of the TF industry, and KO makers the art thieves. Give credit where credit is due. KOs are stolen designs. I do not support stealing. It should be banned.

He goes look good, doesn't he? The only one of his wave to feature alternate parts... which has me thinking. We know Ratchet was moved to BotCon, right? He shares the same base design as Ironhide (just with a different shell), and Smokescreen was a straight redeco, a bit of an anomaly in regular CW trends (in proper G1 configurations, there are no straight redecos, except for Hasbro Blast Off).
What if Ratchet was replaced by Trailbreaker? Would make sense, it gave Hasbro the opportunity to reclaim the proper trademark after... 15 or so years, and it got a better chance at selling since Ratchet and First Aid look similar on the surface.
That said, who was Smokescreen replacing?

Anybody hear anything about a possible G2 Defensor? I'd love that, in all its neon glory.
What I'm really hung up on, though, is which version of Computron I want. Frankly, the Hasbro version's colors look better to me, and I want that Scrounge even if he isn't technically a Technobot. However, I like the look of TT's Lightspeed over Hasbro's, and of course there's dat Nosecone. It's a real toss-up: preferred color scheme plus Scrounge versus slightly better Lightspeed and way better Nosecone.

I can only tell you this. If you get the Hasbro version first and then choose to get Takara later, it will cost you since he will probably be sold out from direct retailers. But if you choose takara and then realiz the Hasbro version is better for you, he wont be worth as much on the secondary market so you could sell your Takara version and then use that money to buy the Hsbro version. You cant do the same the other way around.

I honestly just wish Takara sold their UW figures separately as an option; I'm absolutely hating the way it is - because if I go for UW and I end up liking one of Hasbro's equivalents better, I'm still gonna have to pay more. Like, take Menasor. Motormaster is just outright better for me in UW and with Breakdown, Wildrider and Dead End I can honestly take either Hasbro's or Takara's. But Takara's Drag Strip is just absolutely crap; so if I get UW Menasor, I'm still gonna have to pay for Hasbro's Drag Strip so Menasor doesn't end up with one really horrible looking arm. I'd love it if I could get Motormaster, Vortex, Scattershot and Nosecone separately... sigh.

While these guys (G@ Superion) look amazing with Skylynx. Has anyone else had QC issues? The plastic feels extra brittle. My Silverbolts hand snapped right off on the hinge out of the box. Skydive's wing keeps popping off.... Is it just the G2 curse?

I'm sure by now many of you will have seen this image.

The peg on Rook's roof (ha) pegging into the peghole on the Alpha Bravo mold's underside, allowing the latter to carry the former in an adorable little fashion.
But that is not all.
While my horrific phone camera cannot possibly hope to do the duo justice; allow me to showcase the true hero of the Combiner Wars.
ROOK SUPER SONIC BRAVO MODE

The roof having to fold down to Rook's leg level like a cape; Alpha Bravo becoming a flight backpack ala Cybertron Wing Saber; the Helicopter Cockpit opening up to become a sort of headguard for Rook... all on top of the guy's infamous Hulk Hands. What can possibly stand in this beautiful bastard's way
I love rook so much btw. Probably the best Combiner Wars deluxe purely for just how insane his playability can get; so many unintentional fanmodes galore.

CW Prowl may not have a real hood chest, but his chestplate is sculpted and painted to look like his hood, so there's that.
