Can anyone tell me what's wrong with UW Dragstrip?

Due to being very slavish to the cartoon, the deco is pretty much nothing but yellow - which is a very bland colour scheme. At least with Dead End it's a really sexy red that you see on a lot of sports cars, but yellow? Is just... the most boring colour to mono.
Oh, and the awesome slit teardrop thing on the headsculpt? Deco'd to not be existant.
If you are the biggest fan of a G1-accurate Drag Strip ever... sure, I guess. Otherwise it just looks pretty damn bad. Which is a shame when for the other UW stunticons; Motormaster resembles the cab much more with a beautiful black so it stands out as a different thing combared to Hasbro's, while the other cars are pretty much as good as the CW versions imo.

That looks brilliant! Blast-off looks different enough from his normal incarnations to pretend they are some drones! First thing I thought of when I saw this was "Vehicon flyers".

Hell yeah! What's more, I had the idea for a long time but didnt want to spend the cash. Then, a sudden 10$CAN a deluxe special happen at TrU. In a sea of Optimus Maximus limbs, there were only 4 combaticons. All of them being Blast Offs. I bit the bullet without regrets!

Awesome man! Blastoff's purple really goes well with Galvatronus.

If you want to be consistent with the idea of a fleet of jets troopers but don't care about factions, I guess the Aerialbot Skydive would work pretty well.

It feel nice to not regret an impulse purchase. In fact, I'm pretty happy with it and it may be my favorite combiner yet. Not only for the look and fun, but for the quality of the toys themselves. Everything tab in pretty solidly no matter the mode and the pastics feel Cybertron solid. Ironic for a totally made up character that have no place in any canon.

Is anyone else in the UK having the most insane difficulty finding the Combaticons on the internet? Everywhere I find a listing for them is either out of stock like Kapow or has ridiculous scalping like Amazon. It's a shame because while I don't have nearly enough to get a lot of CW toys I would've loved to have just had Bruticus but I guess the UK gets gipped :/

Are you searching for eBay worldwide? They're fairly common here in the US. Prices have dropped and with the pound being higher than the dollar, you might be able to get them shipped from the US for about the same price you'd find them for at UK retail.

I've been having the same problem as Kurona, while I have noticed the prices drop a tiny bit on Ebay and the main item prices are usually reasonable, a lot of sellers charge a high amount for postage and packing (which is fair enough if it's coming from outside the UK). So while a Combiner Wars Brawl can be advertised as being £11, you actually end up paying about 35. The absolute best deal I've found on CW Combaticons on Ebay is around £25 with free postage. I do hope Smyths or The Entertainer get the Deluxes at some point.

I don't have any problem with him at all.
He's fairly show accurate (minus the wheel situation), so I would never say there's too much yellow.
I think saying there's too much yellow is actually more "in the wrong"--
When a paint job matches what was seen in the show, it's not that the toy's paint apps are "awful" or "too much"; it just says to me that some people don't like the look of the character. Which is fine... Who cares.
And I'm not saying it's wrong to want a "break-up" of colors when a character like Drag Strip has a lot of one color.
What I don't like and think looks worse than one main color, is a somewhat random color...
That red-violet of the Hasbro imo doesn't work. It doesn't work at all with the combined form of Menasor. One could say that "it matches the color of parts of his head". But there are other characters, such as Brawl, who have a head/face color that don't match-up with the rest of their colors.
In the end, yeah, it's all personal preference. I just don't get why someone would say UW Dragstrip looks "awful" or anything like that.

This is probably gonna echo a lot of people, but I'm not really sold on Prime Arcee being a version of Arcee. She's a kickass character, sure, but she feels much more like a version of Chromia than Arcee. I prefer IDW's take as a version of Arcee personally.
Though of course it's obvious why they called her Arcee; she's the female Transformers character. Chromia's nowhere near as recognizable as her, and they wanted to break away from the usual "I'm a girl because I'm PINK!" thing.

But yeah, otherwise totally agree.

And omg I thought I was the only one who liked Hasbro's Armadascream to Takara's Armadascream. The white on Takara's legs is just so distracting to me; I much prefer the deco on Hasbro's.

I think IDW Arcee is a bit too "I am a psychopath that has seen some **** and am gonna kill everyone" personality. Although Prime Arcee was tough, she still had that sort of protective/motherly/lovable personality that G1 Arcee had. I do agree though that she could've also passed as Chromia, but I personally like her as Arcee. Pretty much if they had her as pink instead of blue, I think she'd be an amazing Arcee.

NOW, speaking of Armada Starscream, I really hope a voyager-sized version of his IDW "Armada" version comes out either officially or by a 3rd part company, to go with CW Leader Armada Megs. That'd be awesome.

Burgundy & yellow Dragstrip for life! Looks great with that purple fist too. I love it. Hasmadascream is also beautiful, and I'm not even an Armada guy. I wanted the Classic/Universe version of Starscream but I don't think I need it, even though I adore that seeker mold.

True I guess... but the admins (Burn) are quite picky when it comes to such things.

I also think the Hasbro Blastoff looks pretty nice. Even though he's a jet, and his face is not exactly Blastoff's signature look, it still looks pretty rad.

Two of my four combiner wars limbs being Alpha Bravo and Blast Off; I really wish I had customization skills and materials so I could swap their heads and paint to match their bodies. That way Blast Off gets a head resembling his actual head, and Alpha Bravo gets to be Slingshot but a helicopter.

I bought United Warrior Menasor at full price back then. I also bought Mr , Runamuck to go with it. After fiddling with Menasor, I ended up disliking it. So I planned to sell it. Today, a frien, who is also a bit into TFs came for a visit. What he prefer are land vehicles, especially trucks and cars. Duluxe scale for cars and voyager for big trucks preferably. He didnt have any CW so I proposed him UW Menasor. He fell in love instantly and I sold it to him for only 100$CAN.

There is only ONE element he didnt liked. The fact that Dragstrip was a bright yellow, like a big banana on a sinister giant bot. He don't know who the hell is Menasor at all and he's the casualest of the casual TF fan. But he still saw that Dragstrip was sticking out like a sore thumb. So, I proposed to hunt him down a replacement. I'll just have to middleman him a CW Hasbro Offroad for a "perfect" and more unified Menasor. Dragstrip will be a stand-alone trooper. Quite ironic that I have to hunt down a long ignored bot online.

What about Combiner Wars Dragstrip? He's awesome and a lot better colored. You could even try and find a CW G2 Dragstrip for him on Ebay or somewhere.
