So while cleaning my room the other day, I found in the box my Offroad was shipped in (from Amazon, where a mysterious crop of Stunticons for RRP has shown up despite Wave 2 being practically non-existent in the UK https://www.amazon.co.uk/Transformers-G ... rs+offroad ), there was a separately included set of instructions - Offroad's, but in Chinese.

This happened with my TR Highbrow. Sold from a third party on Amazon, but shipped and fulfilled by Amazon. It also happened on my Generations legend class Bumblebee with the helipack/Targetmaster robot. The back of the packaging of both also had an Asian language sticker over the "Warnings" area.

Those are the ones sold in Hong Kong/China. What happened is there was probably an overstock sold to companies which used amazon as an intermidiary.

True, my Rook came with Chinese instructions as well. Got from Amazon 3rd party...sounds like the same deal.

Yes I was certainly considering getting another Optimus if I see one of the upgrade kits at a good price. (or buy one someone had already modded).

I probably have what some would call an Optimus collection all be an accidental one - though I'm guessing the Bumblebee horde is larger.

If I'm ever in a position to have everything on display I expect I'd get a bit of a shock how many of the key characters I actually have.

I feel I have a ways to got to catch up with Grimlock though due to the sheer amount of 3rd party Dinobots that exist.

I had another chat with Nonnef Productions and they said that they may see if they can add my suggestion of heel spurs to one of their next moulds - so if you happen to have an interest in heels for Onslaught style heels for those who don't have them like Hotspot or Pyra Magna or the Megatronia Torso - not to mention any future possible repaints like Guard City, G2 Defensor or RID Optimus (Super Fire Convoy) based sets.

Yup, can confirm. Was a pleasant surprise for a lot of people when they found Pyra Magna had heels.

Yes - But some of us bought the ratchets to fix that (assuming the upgrade kits don't include their own ratchets).

Nonnef could make those things for years - seems odd that they'd retire them already - when they apply to every variation of Optimus and every variation of Silverbolt too. which is an 'almost' uncountable number of toys.

You'd think putting double the number of teeth in their Ratchets wouldn't be a terribly hard thing for Hasbro to get a handle on - considering how much those really wide stances they force on people's toys are considered an annoyance... heck I can see it bugging kids too. it looked especially ridiculous on Prime.

I think I agree with Emgo316 that it would be better to limit the ratchets to back and forth movement only and but normal friction joints on the outward movement. Putting cuffed joints on the hips seems to work just as well as ratchets anyway.

If you want "exotic" fringe characters like Liokaiser, you need to support the efforts. I think it's great if by chance, these kinds of things are on sale when finances allow for them. However, if you're the guys who wait for stuff to go to clearance and don't support these kinds of fan-targeted specialized efforts; it's kind of scummy.

I really feel the need to say something about this.

Nobody on this planet has endless disposable income. Some of us are fortunate and are able to drop hundreds of dollars on plastic robots every month, and some of us are less fortunate and have to budget very carefully. I've been a destitute Transformers fan and I've been a fairly well-to-do Transformers fan and there's a world of difference between the two. These days I can drop $100 on a Combiner Wars gift set and not bat an eye, but there was a time when I had to choose to spend the $10 in my pocket on a new Beast Wars toy or whether to get lunch. It's not a fun place to be.

We're all fans because we choose to be. Fandom is not an obligation. Therefore, nobody should feel obligated or compelled to spend money on expensive toys as soon as they come out, just so we're supporting Hasbro or Takara's efforts. It's not like either company is going to go bankrupt tomorrow if we fail to live up to this ideal.

I'm one of the biggest and most obsessive fans I know, and even I don't own every toy that I want. I still haven't gotten the Combiner Wars G2 Bruticus set, and there are a bunch of Masterpiece toys I still don't own (Ironhide, Ramjet, Ratchet, Shockwave, Ultra Magnus). Heck, I still don't have Combiner Wars Devastator yet! Does that make me a scumbag because I chose to budget my disposable income differently than yours?

It's elitist and presumptive to call out fans for failing to support the toy line. Fans should feel free to buy what they want when they want. If that means gobbling things up as soon as they show up in stores or online, then so be it. If that means playing the waiting game and trying to get things for cheap, then that's fine, too. Please don't chastise anyone in the fandom for failing to spend insane amounts of money on plastic robots. I love the "fan-targeted specialized efforts" as much as the next guy, but I don't feel guilty when I don't, or can't, buy them right away. And neither should anyone else.

I just saw a boxed set for G2 Bruticus at my local comics/collector store -- for $109.

I hate to say it, but it did not force my hand into my wallet to throw down for the win. However, had it been $40....

His limbs are Cosmos, Thundercracker, Sunstreaker and Slugslinger.

Thank the Lord they didn't, or else we probably wouldn't be getting voyager Astrotrain and a definite voyager Blitzwing in this Titans Return line. A combining Mindwipe also would've pissed a few people off also. Dreadwing being a torso named after Galvatron is also kinda unorthodox. Acid Storm is the only one that sounds cool.
