I got a G2 Superion today. No Menasors to speak of. I can buy one if someone has one to sell or would trade for a G1 Trypticon.

So while at first I didn't like Pyra Magna's leg assembly error and tried to fix it (for obvious reasons), I eventually gave up because I'm terrible at it and ended up realising I really like the size increase it gives her.



It's like, 2/3 of a head taller and it really helps her image.
Of course it's a factory error and a legitimate criticism since the figure doesn't work how it's supposed to which is a QC issue and I'm not saying Hasbro should mess up more, but in this specific case I think it works out really nicely. Especially since it doesn't get in the way of vehicle or torso mode either.

Same Error Death had in his G2 Combaticon review I notice.
I'm glad I've not had that problem on any of mine so far as it sure does damage the shins.

But perhaps you can answer a question when it's in vehicle mode how do the legs sit - do they dip a bit causing the axles to raise up some of the wheels off the ground - or do they sit better on the ground due to the slightly curved thighs being backwards to their normal assembly ?

She sits perfectly in vehicle mode. I think I get what you mean; Onslaught's legs had a bit of a dip.

Of all the Voyagers...the standard Optimus and Hotspot seem to be the most expensive right now on the secondary market, probably due to low production, and only having one release

I love the head sculpt of BC...but for my combiner, it has to be the original Optimus Prime (basically UW-05). My son was initially resistant to this as we are sharing the collection, but once he saw it, he understood why

Pretty certain is BC prime, he's been making a come back all throughout north america. Which makes sense since we had not seen too much of him.

Its expensive because interest in combiner wars is still high and that version is no longer available at retail since he was the very first in a line without ever getting rereleased.

There are tons of him made but no one is ready to sell yet, that always happens with the first wave. The later voyagers (even if released once) are still available: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/pro ... ode=retail

Optimus isnt and since no one is ready to sell him at retail price, and demand is still there (Prime is the most popular character in the TF brand), price goes up. Simple economics.

Yes as a late comer to CW/UW I had a bit of a tough time. So I'm glad I got UW-05, otherwise, you are still looking to pay $30+ for a loose Voayager Optimus or $50+ for one MIB. It's almost the same situation with Hotspot, though a bit more economical.

I was at a Target in the bay area a couple of weeks ago, an they had 4 Silverbolts in stock which kind of surprised me. I know they are plentiful on HTS TRU & places like BBTS, but hadn't seen one in a store in a while. I'm guessing Cyclonus lack of popularity is due to not having a dedicated team in the U.S., same with Scattershot (most fans probably held out for the Computron set)

BC Optimus & Motormaster have been released twice and are plentiful. Onslaught & Scattershot are plentiful, and Sky Lynx being a tail ender is very difficult to find (thought I did finally get one at TJ Maxx)

*edit* just checked BBTS. They still have every CW Voayger in stock. Sold either in pairs, or individually, EXCEPT for the standard Optimus Prime. Sure he's one of the most popular characters but that being the case, Hasbro usually produces him in much larger quantities (like Bumblebee in other series/assortments). I wonder what Hasbro's thought process was with Voayger producing less? Maybe because they thought...since they were releasing 2 Voyager Primes, that both would be equally sought after

Didn't take pictures, but for some reason the walmarts around me are now packed with wave 1 and 5 voyagers. There are so many Onslaughts, Scattershots, Silverbolts, and Motormasters that there are stacks on the shelves, on top of the shelves, and sitting on top of the adjacent shelf. Holy crap

Yeah, its all north america wide. All the stores are gearing up for the holiday season. I am working on some news now, but lets just say these will be DEEPLY dscounted in Canada. Along with some Power Rangers (ABOUT TIME!)

Optimus may be popular as either people wanted two so they have one to have non-combined or simply because he's Optimus.

But from a collector point of view I guess there is a renewed desire to get him for the various upgrade kits for those who wanted to keep one normal too.

I was chatting to Nonnef productions and asking them if they thought there was any desire to duplicate Onslaughts Heel spurs in another colour for use on Hotspot - I thought I'd ask here too if that is a good idea or if that ship has now sailed.
