As one of those clowns let me assure you I rely heavily on the instructions and become quite annoyed when a step is left out, or misrepresented in print. Having talked to several former Hasbro employees I can tell you there's a disconnect between those who make the toys, and those who create the instructions; that is where issues arise. The higher ups at Hasbro don't see an issue so things will unfortunately remain the same. It's also possible steps are left out due to maintaining a print and packaging budget.

perhaps i should explain myself. by clowns, i mean the recent reviewers discussed in the controversial "sponsored" reviewer thread.

Do you realize how that is an oxymoron. That's very similar to someone just paying you to promote something. Reviews should be impartial.

There are 'handles' on each knee that were most likely added for the gun mode. Windcharger is just sitting on the two pegs on OP chest. He will fall off quite easily.

Thanks. There should be four Autobot cars be released, all repaints/remoulds of the Stunticons (or so the rumors say). As stated above, Windcharger is attached to OP's chest in that pic.

As sad as it is to see that rumour gaining more ground I'd hate to see it followed up even more within the fiction.

I'd be more keen if they followed up with the energon homage with the release of his drones

The problem with that "rumour" is that there are too many indicators that it is exactly what we should be expecting, based on unit solicitation.

You have a Prime that can combine with solicitations for 4 classic autobots that easily map over the Stunticons in this line.

As for Energon Prime as there is no hard data (currently) that would lend itself to an Thunderbirds style team set for release, Has/Tak making a SuperLink Grand Convoy combiner (while a cool idea) is highly unlikely at this point.

Has anyone else noticed that the shoulders on the supposed Ultra Magnus combiner don't look like any of the limbs we've seen yet? In fact... they kinda look like G1 Magnus' stacks... With any luck this figure will be released with a Rodimus and Transforming trailer!

I meant more fiction wise as prowl works best as an antagonist rather then a limb for Ultra Prime. Personally I see ultra prime working in fiction as prime linking up with members from the other teams. Coming together to make prowl and devy see sense

I don't know, this still looks like Magnus' white shoulder stack, not like any CW limb that we've seen so far.

Compare that shoulder with that of MP Magnus seen here:

Personally, I think it looks yellow and makes me think that it could possibly be Sunstreaker.

Also, I don't buy that that is Magnus. If it is, then I'm bitterly disappointed. I get that the torso is likely a white Prime, which is standard fare for a Magnus figure, but I'd think that they'd at least make the head blue and white, resembling Magnus' head, rather than just a white Ultra Prime. As for it being a possible combined Ultra Magnus - sure the Legends Hot Rod works quite well as Magnus' chest is red, but surely they'd make the chest shield thing blue, rather than yellow. At least that way the colours would be more accurate.

True! But saying that, I think they'd really miss an opportunity there. Even though I'm fed up with seeing Magnus as a white Prime, I think it'd work if the Voyager figure was a white and blue Prime (perhaps with the silver faceplate) and the combiner head revealed a classic looking blue and white Ultra Magnus head. Hot Rod as the red chest, with a blue chest shield piece. It would work.

Leader Ultra Magnus is real. As far as this "white repaint" of Combiner Wars Optimus is, is not Ultra Magnus, based on the list and details I've seen.

Hey guys, random question but I see people write 'mould' everywhere. Isn't it just 'mold' ?

And while we are at it, you can say Takara "licensed" the toys to Hasbro. But how do you spin that sentence around the other way that makes Hasbro be the subject. Is there a more eloquent way of saying Hasbro bought the license?
