I was sketching some thing up here, actually the probable new Bruticus

If they make Onslaught as a Semi with an attached flatbed, it can be easily re-used as Hotspot, even more so due to their transformations being very similar to each other.

Stop giving Hasbro ideas on how to reuse the mold four times!!

I bet the mold they use for Onslaught will be used for Hot Spot. I hope not as I am a fan of new molds, but as far as cost goes it is totally plausible.

I really do like your idea of the SWAT truck for the Protectobots though. That would be awesome!

I'd say they would be smaller but longer than Prime/Motormaster, probably long nose trucks, like the original Onslaught. I doubt they'll reuse Prime/Motormaster. Their fronts are too bulky and they barely have any space to put a ladder/cannons on the back...

Swindle could also have an armored car alt-mode. That could ALSO be the rumoured Rook...

I really doubt that Brawl won't be included. He is very known and popular, dare I say iconic. He was on WFC, FOC and the first Movie... Also, tank modes can be reused easily, so there'd be no problem on making him...

Which one are you looking forward to the most? Personally I am a Menasor fan, and seeing that Legends as a sixth member of their team is pretty cool for me.

Well actually I just saw an interview on youtube, it's the first result when you search for Combiner Wars. He said that not ALL legends will become accessories. But he also didn't know if Alpha Bravo was Blades or Slingshot to take his word as you will.

The Hands/Feet come with the deluxes and turn into weapons for them. I liked Blackjack as a chest for Menasor because the original had this little scout car that would turn into chest armor...

I'm personally looking forward to the next to impossible and highly improbable Piranacon... But of the two we already have... That's a tough choice... Probably Menasor, because my con's are basically Jets and Tanks so I'd like a little variety on my shelf.

Wow. I was not aware of that usage for Blackjack! That is pretty cool there. So, with that said, I guess the possibility of Groove being a legends for Defensor is quite probable. I wonder why they didn't do the same with Superion? I know that any of the new lengends can be used as a gun or weapon, but not actually transforming into part of the gestalt!

Thanks for the info, that solves to mysteries for me. Who the hell is Blackjack and why did they choose it randomly when there are so many other legends left to make, like Brawn and Seaspray.

Well blackjack is supposed to be the proxy for the small stunt car that became g1 Menasor's chest piece.


Last I checked blackjack was the leader of the more than rambunctious micromaster Sports car patrol team, so I suppose someone at hasbro figured adding him to the stunticons would be a fitting update. Superion does have a legends class hetero life-mate in powerglide, but as you stated it's just the target master. Also each limb will come with the extremity of a hand or foot, or well technically both.

Yes, I was not aware that the original Menasor had a "ROLLER CAR" included, but I read about it just a few minutes before I saw your post. And how great is it that Hasbro worked that in to this new Menasor!

Megatron as a voyager- doubtful as he's not part of combiner wars (too busy on the lost light butting heads with Rodimus) in fact his leader class is so fans can rrepresent him in his current form as autobot co-captain.

Autobot car limbs for Optimus- I can see this happening as an exclusive. Not mass retail.

A thought occurs with the comics and generations becoming ever more entwined does this mean the line has become the IDW line of sorts as either the comic influences the toys look or the comic adapts a characters appearance for the toy.

About Piranacon, I made a small mockup on how they could convert Alpha Bravo into Overbite (please note that I forgot to add the front legs of Overbite):

I can see also Seawing being made from a heavily retooled jet we already have.

For the others... Well, they COULD make their molds and them retool them for a possible Abominus? Really after Brainstorm I don't doubt anything...

I stand corrected on G2. I was correct on G1, however.

Sure, but the natural evolution of the current series, which is called Generations, would be G3, since it is the third generation of stand alone figures in their own line. What separates them from classics is the fact that Hasbro purposely set out to redo some of the G1 bots, and even called them that on some of the packaging. That is not the case with the current run, and the fact that they used characters that did not exist in G1 proves that out.

But you are mistaken, he third gwneration of STANDALONE figs was Beast Wars, arguably you can count BM in tht, so G4 would be RID. The next reboot was Armada, andEnergon could be counted in tha too, so G5. G6 would be Animated, and G7 the movie, and G8 Prime/RescueBots Continuity. Much as it would be nice to count the universe figs as a generation, you have to remeber these are sublines that stop and start, so 6.5, 7.5, etc.also, since these are more or less revisitations of G1 Prime vs. a new Prime the way the first RID Prime was, this Gwnerations wave is an extension of G1, not a new generation.

To be fair, though, those will be the ONLY limbs available when Prime is released. I doubt there is anything special about that four, it's just that there will be no other choices in the first wave of figures. My guess is that Optimus is meant to combine with any four figures you want (apparently, regardless of allegiance). In fact, it says so right in his on-package bio!
