I think all we know about Shockwave is that a code for him was supposedly uncovered in a Wal-Mart database.

Most assume he's his own new mold.

He was mentioned in the same company as Pipes, Chop Shop, and Buzzsaw.

It seems highly likely that Pipes will be another use of the Legends Optimus mold. It's possible Chop Shop could be based on the Shrapnel/Skrapnel mold. So, I'm going to be a pessimist and guess that Shockwave will be based on the Legends Megatron/Warpath mold.

Of course, Buzzsaw may be a new mold (I can't imagine what current Legends toy he could be based on), so maybe there is hope for Shockwave yet.

Don't worry too much about Shockwave & co. guys, as they're supposedly planned for next year. We already have all 11 Legends lined up for 2015:

1. Powerglide
2. Bombshell
3. Windcharger (retool of Tailgate)
4. Thundercracker (redeco of Starscream)

5. Blackjack
6. Huffer (retool of Optimus Prime)

7. Protectobot Groove
8. Warpath (retool of Megatron)
9. Decepticon Viper (retool of Powerglide)

10. Rodimus (retool of Blackjack)
11. Skywarp (redeco of Starscream)

... plus, I don't really see Hasbro retooling molds twice. We'll know more by BotCon

Its true, I forgot that this would all be next year and thus, him being a new mold is a likely option.

Laserbeak originally being a repaint of G1 Buzzsaw and the new alt-modes of other 'Cassetticons' in IDW (so I've heard, I don't read it) opens a can of mold-degrading worms if they go that way with the Groove mold. Takara releasing a deluxe Groove/Afterburner 'pretool', if they do, will probably mean Groove gets repainted as somebody anyway. Just some fumbly thinking I needed to externalize, I hope I've fudged the issue adequately...

So, I'm going to be a pessimist and guess that Shockwave will be based on the Legends Megatron/Warpath mold.

If he's meant to go with Bruticus, as many have speculated and some seem more certain of than they ought to be, I suspect he's likely to be a new mold and become either a chestplate or a gun, with gun seeming more likely.

Dead End's combiner foot/hand kibble can sit on the roof. It looks among the most odd, in my opinion, but it does integrate. The tailpipe/police club looking thing (which I really like for Prowl, being a police bot and all) sits nicely as one of those running board exhaust pipes. It reminds me of the old Corvette Stingrays...



So, yeah, I'd like a little clarification on the integration question, too.

It sits on there but it doesn't integrate like the other 3 Stunticons do so it seems odd.

Yeah, I have yet to try that from the earlier pic. It would, indeed, make Dead End the only one of the 4 Stunticon limb bots to not be able to mount it "right side up." Strange...

Well for drag strip, its because they are replicating that functionality from the G1 toy:

I like integrated weapons, but I don't mind them not integrating quite so much if they don't look like they're supposed to be part of the alt mode. (Breakdown's weapon doesn't really integrate, for example, but I can live with that because it's otherwise pretty nifty.)

It may have been noted previously, I don't remember, but Breakdown's combiner foothand can attach to the rear of his car in a way that will help him resemble Sunstreaker down the road.

When I get Breakdown, I will probably give Drag Strip his foot/hand, as it looks like it would work on an Indycar.

Thanks to fellow fan, Eric John A. Cruz and Cybertron Philippines, we have some great news to share with you: Combiner Wars Wave 3 is hitting retailers in Asia! (This is good news for the rest of us, means it's just a few weeks until they hit the US and other world regions!) Mr. Cruz shared this good news with us on our Seibertron Facebook page, which you can see his post here.

The wave is due to be released on April 18th in the Philippines at various Toys R Us stores, which you can see in the image mirrored below:

Combiner Wars Voyagers, Deluxes and Legends wave 3 and Leader Class wave 2 will be distributed tomorrow, Saturday, April 18 at Toys R Us Robinsons Galleria (Metro Manila)

Since it's already the 18th in the Philippines, we have in hand images of Wave 3 to share with you, courtesy of Mr. Cruz!

Up first:
Leader Class Thundercracker (base mold is a heavily retooled Leader Class Jetfire, you can see him in our galleries)


Next:
Voyager Class Cyclonus (a redeco of Silverbolt, with a new head) and Hot Spot (a new mold!)


Followed by:
Deluxe Class Blades (a repaint of Alpha Bravo, with a new head), First Aid (A drastic reshelling/remold of Offroad), Rook (a brand new mold!) and Streetwise (Another drastic reshelling/remold of another figure, Dead End)


And last, but certainly not least:
Legends Class Groove (another new mold!), Warpath (a redeco of Generations Legends Megatron with a new head) and finally Viper (a redeco of Legends Powerglide in Decepticon/Cobra (G.I.Joe) color scheme!)


With them seeing release in the Asian region of the world, it's at least reasonable to assume that the April release date provided by BBTS is looking possible at this time, even though Amazon has them listed with a preorder date of June 15th. Chances are this is a special early release and June's the actual saturation release time frame, as soon as we know, you will!
