I love using dead-end and neck-brace as arms, if you flip the (hind-side) bot-mode arms up over the back of the shoulders, you can mount hotspots weapons (or anyone's weapons, cybertron thunderblasts missle pod works really well) on the doors and make it look awesome.

You gotta start taking pics Screamer. I can't stand that mold as an arm, but I'm intrigued by your innovations and am willing to learn.Hellscream9999 wrote:I love using dead-end and neck-brace as arms, if you flip the (hind-side) bot-mode arms up over the back of the shoulders, you can mount hotspots weapons (or anyone's weapons, cybertron thunderblasts missle pod works really well) on the doors and make it look awesome.

I can dig out my camera, if someone could post a quick tutorial on how to upload; as for the arms, I like the uniformity they lend the combiner, and as an arm, has a tidier conversion than most. Despite the flaw of the com-hand-foot-thing not being able to hold Menasor's sword (I think he plastic swells towards the middle of the hole) I tend to use them as such.

I didn't know where to post this, but being related to the Combiner Wars line, I thought I'd try in here.
The thing is, I live in Slovenia, so I was quite bummed when I heard they cancelled Wave 2 of Combiner Wars for Europe, so I went on Ebay and purchased the deluxes and Motormaster (for far too much money, even for the European TF prices).![]()
I'm still waiting for Motormaster, but that's not the issue. The problem is, that Breakdown came missing the windshield part, and Hasbro can't ship me a replacement part because of my location.![]()
Has anything similar happened to anyone here yet?
I spoke to Hasbro's Consumer Care and they told me they can ship a replacement if I provide a US shipping address, but the problem is that I don't know anyone in the US personally.![]()
Would maybe anyone be willing to help me out with the problem? I know I'm a newbie and I don't know any of you guys, but you would really help me out a great deal with that, I just want my Menasor to be complete and without additional, non-serial flaws, haha.![]()
I'd greatly appreciate it.
Ouch! Since you bought from EBay, you can try and contact the seller and ask for a refund on the account of being shipped a faulty product. Be sure to supply photo evidence. If he doesn't comply, bring in EBay and as well PayPal, and file for a seller dispute.
For next time, try and buy from one of the online stores, especially the site sponsors. They do ship worldwide, and some are actually based within Europe, and Customer Service is top notch from what I've heard.
Hasbro is essentially a no-go for such service, on the account they don't supply replacement parts and exchanges are based on luck: "Product of equal price or less", which means you don't know what figure of the same price you'll end up with.
Man, Hasbro Customer Service shipped me a Combiner Wars leader G1 Megatron when I complained about a faulty Generations Roadbuster so that's much higher value.

I thought the hole on groove was just so he could weld a weapon in motorcycle mode no?
Yeah and that's why I wouldnt mind Rook if it comes to it. I am happy he is getting his own mold and I am more than happy to realize that I really don't mind these reshells. There is a really cool craft in the way every bit is changed yet the geometry is intact to preserve the engineering. But still, my very favourite part of transformers is discovering them and while discovering the intricate differences is fun, I do love transforming a new figure that I have no clue how to transform. So given the choice, I would like to have as many original molds as possible. And if Hasbro eventually releases Groove (as unlikely as it is, although with Trypticon reissues these are really odd times indeed), I would rather have Groove complete Defensor than Rook, since I will be getting swindle later and experience the mold there just like I finally experience Alpha Bravo with Blades.
And yes, I do preffer the streetwise take on the mold than the dead end/brake=neck version. While a smooth surface does work well with a sports car, I find all the added molded details really cool with streetwise. The white means we dont have that odd colour break in the doors and it is amazing how they gave it a cybertronian look. I am not as excited as you are for the datsuns since they are keeping the same shell for all of them, including the police lights (unpainted for Smokescreen), which is odd (and prowl marks the return of the odd colour break on the door).

But you know, Cobotron, deep down you and I both know what is the best part of Streetwise and why he is a cut above: THAT WICKED HEADSCULPT!

I think Streetwise saved that crummy mold. I'm super psyched for the Datsuns now, and you know they're my fav. But as cool as Streetwise is, Rook is by far my favorite Protectbot. The cool thing is, is that Hound and Swindle are such drastic re-shells, that Rook is kind of his own dude. So it's just like you said above.

I'm willing to bet that that's just an early digital mock-up. We were shown the first wave of Autobots in both modes, in/out of package. However for the second wave of Autobots we were only shown official pics that reek of digital photoshoppy nonsense, and prototypes as Sky Reign limbs.WJ wrote:I am not as excited as you are for the datsuns since they are keeping the same shell for all of them, including the police lights.
My money is on Smokescreen being lightless. That's a big oversight, and theres versions of the mold already w/o them.

There is speculation that the use of the legends Groove in the Fan-built Combiner (Victorion) is as a weapon, so that post is potentially an attach point or handle for such a function.

That'd have to be a pretty heavy remold. Snaptrap had an actual robot mode whereas Skylynx only has his beast mode.

True but they've done some pretty heavy remolds before. And I don't see the robot mode being too difficult because it would basically just be him standing up.
