Man! discounting club exclusives, assuming victorion and computron are left, that's 6 autobot combiners vs 2 decepticon combiners Even if they release an additional decepti-torso, I won't have the additional decepti-limbs for it

I don't care if it isn't from G1, I want more decepticon combiners. As of right now, I have stunticon-galvatronus and superion, but eventually I'll have galvy, bruti vs sups, defen, reign, comps, and vicy. I need more decepticons in my life/collection

I legitimately want that purple-griffin-thing, but I need more limbs for it (and no I won't scramble my autobots and decepticons together, there are some things in this world you just don't do) I wish the super o/p limbs were just additional decepti-limbs for galvatronus, or whomever, not more random autobots nobody really needed

If I may chime in, I'm gonna display Sky Reign and the limbs from optimus maximus (I don't want the torso) as individual bots. I think this'll "even the odds" a bit since then the combiners would be:
Autobots: Defensor, Superion, Victorion, Computron
Decepticons: Menasor, Bruticus, Devastator
Even so, I think that Devvy's big enough to take on 2 or 3 combiners, so I guess "non-canon" combiners do screw with the ratio a bit.

You know, even though I've told myself to skip the Autobot Cars Combiners, at least Prowl and Sunstreaker hold some appeal to me for whatever reason. Then it hit me: it's because of Gobots Puzzler! Look at Pocket and Jigsaw for starters.

I tried the backwards legs and they are more stable and give better articulation, but I didn't like how plain they were.

Yeah, like that, but I also twist those hip joints from the inside out a bit to give him a wider stance while keeping him as long and tall as possible. I havent seen any lack of articulation from this for the poses I want.

That is exactly how I have my Menasor. Best looking set up I've found as I too don't like the plain looking back of the legs showing up front. You're right though, no articulation lost that I can tell and he is a bit taller, which I like.

There is also the fact that Hasbro counts Devastator as a combiner in combiner wars (in the comic representing partly the fiction behind the toyline), so the decepticons might be fewer but they have something BIG on their side.

But they don't scramble, so will never count towards anything in my books (especially as I am most likely not going to get them)

compared to the default transformation there is no loss of articulation. I find that its a little less stable though. If you spin the legs backwards you get the full benefit of MM's hip and thigh swivels.

Well I am combining skyreign (with some team - not sure who, screw the '84 teams) and I am not getting devastator, and even if I did, he doesn't scramble, which was the point of my statement, that we need more decepti-scamble teams

I had initially decided that the one Autobot team I bought was going to be the Hasbro version.
Buying these in stores would save me what, around $50--$60?

I'm passing on all other Autobots (except Hotspot);
right now Skylinx is the only future Autobot release that I'm considering
(but we'll see how cool he is; that could end up being a "pass" for me).
So with how much I'm not getting, I can probably justify the cost of TT Superion.

Being indecisive, I really appreciate your help!!

Takara at HLJ: 97.05 $ US

The toys themselves are the pretty much the same price. The only place you'd be saving money is on the shipping. But I dont include it since shipping and taxes are different depending on geographic area and the options you pick. But the toys are basically the exact same price. Hence why I didnt hesistate to buy the takara version. What I found really sad was that the sculpted detail present on the figure was a perfect G1 homage but Hasbro didnt capitalize on it with it's paint apps. Menasor' motormaster is much further from G1 than any element in Superion so in that case I didnt mind getting the Hasbro version. Actually, the G1 paint apps on Menasor made it work a bit less in my opinion (like with Dragstrip who loses a lot of detail).

Oh and shipping from japan for the Superion set is 22.81$ if you pick the cheaper option. Someone reported that when their shipped last week: http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/takara-transformers-unite-warriors-discussion-thread-t102999s1425.php#p1703686

That's all well and good, but that was just too much hideous white for me, I don't need G1 accuracy, I just need it to look good to me; so the Hasbro version won out with the black h/f weapons breaking the scheme up nicely. (and being available WAY earlier )

Oh by all means I never meant he was the better option in general, that will always be an opinion. And getting him sooner is a BIG advantage. It's just that a member said he wanted to most G1 accurate CW autobot combiner and was worried about the price, so I was happy to indulge. He also is deciding now that they are both out so getting one sooner no longer applies to him.

Well, there's a little more of a price difference than that, because I can get 4/5 at a Walmart that's 2 mins from my house.
Deluxe price there is $15.29, so even with tax, it's around $16 a piece.
And the JHL shipping cost is around $31 US.
But still, by the time I get Quickslinger and pay for that shipping, it's still pretty dang close.

I think I'll be pulling the trigger on this set soon.

Yeah he did, and for that it is probably the best option. I fell in the same boat with gen Arcee, she really needs the black to help break up the paint scheme; the TT one was so bland with white and pale grey

It's a shame the two '84 teams have different colored hands, would've like to have mixed and matched the two for skyreign, but I feel that the hands are the one part of the combined mode that needs to stay consistent throughout the figure, as a way to hold it together visually.

I thought he meant we needed more 'nemesis' painted characters like all of the ones TT puts out, I said we don't need to import them from TT, cuz hasbro could just release them, but they won't b/c reasons? It seems to me that for as long as hasbro has released a 'nemesis' char with the accompanying amazing paint job, that they ABSOLUTELY fly off shelves (armada, universe, legends 2 pack...)

It's cool, and yeah, for all the shallow, money-grubbing, shelf-warming repaints (no offense but many have been ) we've gotten from hasbro over the years, you would think that they would be the first to jump on the 'hard-ass nemesis' paint schemes.

Yup, me's and HellsYeahScream or on the same page and both want more Nemesis Primes in our lives. I had a brief moment where I almost started buying all the old ones, like from the Prime series, but I was able to stop myself. I'm still thinking about the RID15 one, which I think can still be gotten without too much trouble, but that's another thread all together.

I don't think there is a NP for the CW line, is there? I remember a Scourge (if I have that name right) but isn't that a different beast all together (to lazy to look up the details right now)?
