No, the listings went up by mistake. Plus theres every other retailer that hasnt listed their stuff yet.

Hasbro Pulse has pre-orders up for Turtler and Gulf individually!

Got my pre-orders for the first wave of Seacons in at Hasbro Pulse!

I also got an email from TFSource announcing they have preorders available now too. Interestingly enough, TF Source is selling for exactly double their current price points, e.g. $40 for Gulf, the Deluxe, and $60 for Turtler, the Voyager. Hasbro Pulse is selling Gulf for $35, $5 off, but still the full $60 for Turtler. Weird.

I've never ordered through Pulse. Do they charge your card right away on pre-orders? Or is it only when they the item comes in stock? I don't appreciate that HP will not do transactions via PayPal on pre-orders (adds another level of difficulty), when other sites will.

They do not charge right away. I think maybe you will see an authorization charge on your statement, but then it is returned? Much like when you buy gasoline with a card at the pump. I still have Siege Smokescreen and the SDCC Reflector on order but have not been charged.

I snagged a presie, so thanks a bunch for posting Nemy Primal! ;)^

But, just looking for theories here. Why do we think they cost so much more than normal Deluxes and Voyagers? Extra accessories? Takara product vs. Hasbro? Exclusivity? All of the above?

EDIT: o.supreme, I just checked my online statement. Hasbro Pulse charged the full amount, then immediately refunded it.

I'm not thrilled with the prices to be sure, but its still less expensive, and more accessible than Voyager Bludegon or Toxitron, and any of the Deluxes from TFSS 4.0 and 5.0 .

My money is on Takara product. They charged similar prices for their Legends figures despite the only difference with half of them being paint. Sure, there were a fair amount of mold differences for some of them, but generally, they were still fairly similar to what Hasbro put out

I'm honestly so surprised you all are finding the Takara prices to be pricey. They have always been that way. That's why I never got any during T30, Legends, etc. while I was in college. The deluxes averaged around $35 and the voyagers $55. This is par for the individual course.

Since TFsource is the same price as pulse, I'm going to pre-order with them this time. Taxes would equal the prices all out.

Well, beyond all the remolding, have you seen all the accessories that come with turtler? his guns, the sheild, the sword, the feet - all with lots of parts, he likely has a whole sprue for all of them, that's all extra plastic, and paint, and assembly time

Well, I guess. Depends on how one ordered them. I order most my Takara stuff from Ami Ami, and it's always way cheaper than going with our US based importers. At least it used to be. Been a while since I've ordered from them.

I'm trying to remember how much I paid for Unite Warriors Grandpa Galvatron. $160ish? And that WAS from BBTS because it was a TTMall exclusive.

Please know, I'm not complaining. Just trying to find the justification. Other than, the price of everything has skyrocketed over the past several years.

The price for gulf does remind me of the import price for those legends deluxes with targetmaster. Granted, i personally feel i get more out of those legends releases since that targetmaster was a whole other character/transforming robot, hence why these prices feel a tad high for me. Plus, since i always imported from japanese retailers,i never paid the higher ttmall listing price.

Have you been hoping for some Seacon action in your modern Transformers collections? Several fans have been anticipating these retools from the Takara Tomy side of the Transformers Generations Selects line since Turtler (a.k.a., Snaptrap) was first teased a few months back. Now we have full color product shots of "Wave 1" of the Seacons, featuring Voyager Class Turtler and Deluxe Class Gulf (a.k.a., Skalor). While these two heavy retools of Power of the Primes Hun-Gurrr and Blot, respectively, are only available in Japan through Takara Tomy Mall, fans in the United States can pre-order them through one of several online retailers. Hasbro Pulse put up their pre-orders for Turtler and Skalor Wednesday, August 7, along with site sponsor TFSource. BigBadToyStore advertised them too via email newsletter yesterday, Tuesday, August 6, but the listings have since been removed. If you are interested in pre-ordering either or both of these Generations styled Seacons, you'd best do so soon, as Hasbro Pulse says they will only take pre-orders up to August 27, 2019. Oh wow those prices are a big oof. I might have to only get turtler and maybe one of the other seacons. 30 bucks for a deluxe and 50 for a voyager?

Glad those who wanted a modern set can get it though.

I ordered mine off Pulse. Really looking forward to them.

For the curious or those that need a refresher, the Seacons are indeed priced higher than PotP combiners in Japan.

Deluxe
Seacons: ￥4,104
PotP: ￥3,024

Voyagers
Turtler: ￥7,020
PotP: ￥4,860

They do have smaller production runs thanks to their exclusivity, but they also have heavy retooling and more weapons than their PotP mold mates. In my book that makes the price worth it. Takara Tomy is usually very fair with their exclusives, simple repaints generally are priced comparatively to retail figures. If they felt these needed higher prices to be produced then I'll believe them.

Bbts prices WERE the same as Pulse. I managed to order them there before they took down the listings and they’re still in my orders.

The prices arnt bad. Same as Legends prices thankfully. If Turtler was $100 and limbs $50 like I thought I woulda said no but there decent and it’s nice that it’s gonna be 3 releases with 2 per release. Hopefully they don’t take a whole year to complete

Is the submit news broken? I had submitted the pulse links via the front page news 1 to 2hrs before Nemesis made his post. Normally I get a response but didn't get any indication from the news crew this time.

I ask not to get credit (ultimately his post got the word out so he deserves the credit), but only because we are told to submit it that way. Just want to make sure I am submitting in the right way.

Any particular reason? Wouldn't it be better separate to help ease the cost, plus you get very good figures in hand to play with while waiting for the King himself.

There are a lot of us, myself included, that love the gift sets. The Unite Warriors ones were beautiful. True it's easier, economically, to get them in pieces, but for some of us, there is just a sense of satisfaction in getting them all at once. The price of these all together is going to be about $225.00--coincidentally, the same price (on 3P retail sites) for the recently reissued UW-04 Devastator.

I don't mind holding out. I did for the PotP, until it was confirmed that brand unification killed any chance of further UW styled sets. Some of us I guess...are just holding out a little, futile, hope on this one. But I'll get them regardless of how they are released.
