If you're counting Piranacon and King Poseidon as the same (which many do), then he and God Neptune are the only two unique character versions of that combiner mold. Every other version (toy or fiction-wise) has just been a different version of Piranacon.

I for one would love a G1-ified version of Infernocus, just because his combined mode was pretty awesome even if he ended up doing precisely nothing in the movie. It'll never happen but it'd be nice.

That is Transformers Zone, the single episode that takes place after TF:Victory (and was adapted into a manga). I thought it would be neat if some 3P company could come of with capes and *accessories* to add to the existing combiners to make them appear as they did in TF Zone, but so far, nobody has shown interest as far as I know.

That's what I was going for. I just wasn't sure if the SG God Neptune was counted as different.... I really don't often think about characters when they appear in media outside of mainline animation, or comics, but I know some like to be all inclusive.

Oh, you mean the Beast Wars Shattered Glass story Fun Pub made that didn't actually have any legit SG characters in it until the very last page of the last chapter.

No, that was just normal Evil Decepticon Piranacon wearing God Neptune's colors, name, and Scylla limb (Tentakil and Nautilator had died, so newcomer Scylla was recruited as a replacement limb). Going by that version, then even a new God Neptune toy would be considered just another version of Piranacon, so best to stick with the original BWII cartoon/manga version who was his own guy.

Wow...I made you think...for a second maybe I have to give credit to Chris Mcfeely's basics videos for that one, otherwise yeah I would not have known about that story. Just 1. Piranacon/King Poseidon and 2. God Neptune. I'm completely 100% good with that

I wish they had put it next to something to show scale.
Pricing would be nice too.

Pricing had been said to be about $60 for Turtler/Snap Trap while $35 per limb. Scale is the same as all CW Combiners as most, if not all are just retools of existing limb bots, Turtler/ Snap Trap himself is just a retool of Hun Grr

This makes me wonder if Takara might attempt to make a BWII Seacon-styled redeco of Lobclaw into an all new character, a "missing member" or "long-lost member" of the original team, of sorts, who was absent from the BWII series' events.

Or sell God Neptune as a box set as opposed to the current separate releases. TakaraTomy can get away with omitting accessories that way, all God Neptune needs are two hands, the feet and the sword. A Lobclaw/Nautilator redeco would be nice though.

I hope we get a God Neptune boxset. That is a dream of mine

So far, I have been able to create an equal number of good guy and bad guy combiners from the CW/UW/Potpie combiners. This King Poseidon rounds up the number quite nicely, completing the last pair of good and bad guy combiners. If they were create a God Neptune from this King Poseidon, that would require me to have to think of way to get another full combiner to rival him.

And what's more, this other combiner that could pair against God Neptune could be either a good guy or a bad guy since, while God Neptune started off as a bad guy in Beast Wars Second, by the end of the series, he had made peace with Lio Convoy, with the two having had one final duel of honor and, when the Seacons had been brainwashed into protecting the Artificial Planet Nemesis, Lio Convoy's team saved them from the brainwashing. God Neptune was last seen at the end of Beast wars Neo helping to rebuild Cybertron after it had been damaged by Unicron's attack.

So, God Neptune could serve as either a bad guy or a good guy.

So, when do you guys think we'll see more of the teased Super Megatron? Like, at least a prototype?

My *Master Plan* had 30 combiners (15 good and 15 evil). This new release makes 31 and adds to the Evil ranks. However I do not mind at all. There are more combiners out there to be made, both heroic and evil, I'm confident in time balance will be restored, then upset, then restored again...The Endless cycle .

For your plans, if they make a God Neptune, you can use him as the good guy rival of King Poseidon, for the reasons I gave in the post you quoted.

For Sure....I guess the same cold be said if Dinoking were ever made. Monstructor has always been evil...But the Dinoforce had a change of heart at the end thanks to Star Saber sparing them, Deszaurus betrayal of them, and Jan's befriending them.

The Dinoforce were never seen or referenced after Victory were they...???

Kakuryu was. He joined the Autobots officially and became the Dinobot Grimmaster (a slight redeco of Power Core Combiners Grimstone) in the United EX fiction, and made additional appearances as such in the Metrowars manga and Legends manga.

Goryu also cameoed as himself in the final Legends manga chapter, standing next to Grimmaster with the other Autobots.

To me it looks like they're focusing on getting King Poseidon further along (that's six individual releases right there) and Star Convoy out before moving on to Armada Convoy and Super Megatron. They'll probably pepper in a few Hasbro Selects figures for Japanese release while they wait.

I just think it's weird that Star Convoy and Armada Convoy were revealed at the same time but we've seen nothing else on Armada Convoy while we're getting the Seacons at several conventions, and even price reveals.

Part of me is thinking that they may be working on an Armada Jetfire and Armada Overload, in addition to a trailer so they can do a big reveal later. But, I'm also aware that it's exceptionally unlikely we'll get Jetfire or Overload given they'd have to be completely new molds without a guarantee of people buying them

Looks like the Seacons are being sold either individually OR as two-packs!

Turtler and Gulf are coming together as a 2-pack called "Transformers Generations Selects King Poseidon Wave 1 set (Seacons Turtler + Seacons Gulf)"

The two-pack is exclusive to TakaraTomy Mall (in Japan, that is), priced at 11,124 yen.

They are also being sold separately, with Seacons Turtler priced at 7,020 yen and Seacons Gulf at 4,104 yen, both still as TTM exclusives in Japan.

(Yes, "Seacons" plural instead of the singular "Seacon" for each of them because, in Japanese, the Seacons' team name is bizarrely always written in the plural form, contrary to how virtually every other subgroup name in Japan is always written in the singular form.)

There are also colored pics of the two figures, showing off all modes and configurations, confirming that Gulf can become his weapon mode (but the text notes that King Poseidon cannot hold the weapon with just one arm, suggesting that he may need to use both hands to hold it).

There's even an accompanying manga chapter that seems to go with the Star Convoy manga chapter, but also features Halfshell of the Beast Wars II Seacons.
