So anyone else get their God Neptune set in a ridiculously oversized box? I'm not complaining, as I'll definitely use the box for storage, but when I saw it on the porch this morning I was thinking what in the hell did the wife order now, only to find out it was for me.

My God Neptune just showed up in a similarly large box. And also for some reason it showed up without Pulse actually telling me it was being shipped out, and without tracking info so it was a big surprise

Same here, it's now in my pile of Loot, just waiting for Roritchi to show up so they can ship together. As for God Neptune...Mine seems to be in some sort of FedEx Limbo... haven't seen any tracking movement since Saturday, no Arrival ETA... I hope it isn't lost :-s

Pretty much all the delivery services are teetering on chaos from now until the end of the year, so I wouldn't get too worried about delays and lack of shipping info yet (I know much easier to say than do). Even my God Neptune set sat with the same status (arrived at Fedex) for a couple days until this morning it said on the truck for delivery.

My God Neptune arrived as well, and in an equally huge ass box

I have to say, I am liking this set way more than King Poseidon so far.

Also just discovered this weapons storage

Ya know, I wonder if Pulse only has 3 sizes of boxes: the ones they ship normal deluxes in, ones they ship 3 or 4 figures in, and these monster boxes.

And you would think with their free shipping stuff, they would try to consolidate orders into one box too.

I was thinking the same thing on the boxes. "Regular", "Large" and "Can Ship a Person (if they are skinny, and short)".

As for order consolidation, I'm actually thinking they intentionally separate items especially for pre-orders, unless it is multiple of the same item. If they already have the orders lined up when the shipment arrives, then they can just mindless pack anything that is a single figure in a single box and get it out the door. If you know there are 48 on a pallet, you can have 48 boxes and labels ready to go when it arrives and get it out as quickly as possible.

So I think I realized why the boxes were so big. Apparently it was a Buy 1 God Neptune, get 30 feet of airpacks free!!!

(Laid it all out in a line on a tile floor with 12 inch tiles.)

They sat on mine for a few days before shipping even though I paid for a faster option and it's been delayed since. Hopefully, I'll get it tomorrow.

I'm a little sour with BBTS right now, though maybe it's partly my fault. When I buy a large quantity of figures or simply spend over $100 I use PayPal Credit so I don't have to pay it all at once, I can pay it gradually over six months interest free. Every store I've done this with charged the order up front including pre-orders. BBTS didn't do it this way. First off I ordered seven figures (non Transformers, all with the same release date) and then cancelled my EE Hot House order and ordered with BBTS to make 8 figures bringing the total to over the $100 mark. But I didn't notice at the time (and really should have) that the BBTS order wasn't charged to PPC. So the order got charged last weekend, but only for five of those seven figures which came to just over $70, and then the remaining three figures were broken into their own orders so instead of one tidy interest free charge I'm getting four charges with interest and just like with most credit charges I can't tell PP to pay those directly, they're going to be payed gradually along with my interest free charges making this much more expensive than it should be. So, lesson learned, only use PPC on one expensive item, not multiple cheap items with BBTS. #-o

And yeah, I got my giant box from Pulse as well. I'll probably use it for storing collapsed boxes.

Got my confirmation from BBTS that Roritchi came in, both he and Hothouse should ship soon. It appears BBTS now has pretty much ALL the Selects form 2020 (that were not exclusive to Pulse) in Stock. if you were on the fence, or missed any from Pulse, now would be a good opportunity.

What do you mean by that? Is he sturdier? Tighter joints? I mean, it's the exact same set (minus the 6th guy) in different colors, right?

Same set, same molds (except Scylla was retooled) yes. But it feels more solid. The limbs have more resistance and can pose better, I can tilt the ankles and he will still stand in combined mode, Scylla works as a leg and doesn't fall apart/over, the QC feels much better. I have confidence that this set will pose how I want it to and keep that pose.

Pretty much the same as any other Combiner. Smaller weapons are ok, but I never could get any combiner to hold a larger weapon (a legends class figure) without some finagling, much less a giant combined Gun (ala UW Computron & Baldigus) that weighs more and is longer than a legends class.

I hope the experience D-Maximal_Primal has with God Neptune is closer to the norm than the exception.

Also...I asked this a couple times on other threads (CW & TR), but might have been buried....

I was thinking of getting a TR Gnaw to be my unofficial 6th member for the Space Pirate Seacons

. It is still relatively inexpensive on the secondary market as I never got one when it was out. Does anyone know of a fan-mode for it? Just curious.

D-Max- If you happen to Have Gnaw or Quintesson Pit, maybe a couple pics of Neptune with a Sharkticon just to see how it works? He could be their pet if nothing else
