I still can't help but think that this middle component's retooling has to be a reference to something. It's too specific to be just something that someone came up with simply because they thought it was cool.Rodimus Prime wrote:To stay with Masterforce continuity, 1 component of Black Zarak would have to be named Devil Z, right?Emerje wrote:Since they haven't given him a name I'm thinking about making this guy Olin Zarak since he's a pirate and this figure has an eyepatch. What about the gold plastic used on SS 86 Grimlock's chest. I think Hasbro finally cracked the code for gold there.

Is it gold plastic? I thought it was painted?

I'm wondering if it's maybe something from the Masterforce manga. I have all three volumes of Viz's G1 manga books, but I haven't yet read Volume 2 or 3 yet. I need to find time to at least read Volume 2 and see what's what with Scorponok/Black Zarak in the manga.
ZeroWolf wrote:I know o.supreme suggested it could be a reference to Zone, where be reappeared as one of the generals. I second the call for capes.
So, now with the release of Black Zarak, could one get all the 9 generals? And how much would it cost since so many were Titan Class...

Doesn't the TFWiki have at least a summary? Or do you prefer unfolding a new story 1 detail at a time for maximum effect?Sabrblade wrote:I still can't help but think that this middle component's retooling has to be a reference to something. I wanna check the artwork for any visual references.Rodimus Prime wrote:Doesn't the TFWiki have at least a summary? I definitely wouldn't be opposed to a CC Overlord at some point in the future, but Since we just got TR Overlord 4 years ago, There are many other characters that still have not had any updates that I would want to see come first.
-Kanrabat- wrote:"JUST 4 years ago?"
Go back to the nursing home, old pal!
But seriously, many figures that appeared in that trilogy were already remade in SS'86 and the current WFC trilogy. Notably Rodimus Prime. Overlord definitely need his Commander update. And I'm pretty sure it's for sooner rather than later.
o.supreme wrote:I'll ignore the condescending tone of your comment if you heed the gravity of mine. . Anyway.... No, 4 years is not long at all, especially when I can think of a few dozen characters from 1984-1990 that have not had a proper update in the last decade, and at least 4 or 5 would be CC that haven't been done yet.

Not so fast. This was first posted yesterday. The original source is a Tweet that was posted yesterday and deleted within an hour. TFU's Tweet is a re-circulation of the pic.aronjlove wrote:Razorbeast88 wrote:Unless that picture is from yesterday hahahahaha
LOL, I went and double checked the date. It's today
