Not in as many words, but some of your remarks gave me that impression.Rodimus Prime wrote:First, I never said I couldn't understand why other people think he's a good figure.ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:I wonder if anyone's come up with a good one for PotP Grimlock. I challenge people to try. Since he seems not to understand how anyone can consider that Grimmy a quality toy, I especially challenge Rodimus Prime to try.
Pretty slim, but I figured that extensively futzing with him to try and create one stood a chance of changing your current opinionRodimus Prime wrote:Second, since I do think PoTP Grimlock is an underwhelming figure in his official modes, what are the chances that a fan mode (which are rarely better than the official ones for any figure) will not be even worse?
Honestly, to me it's just the fact that Grimlock is not like a regular bipedal bot. His legs are thicker in robot mode, and his dino head is a nuisance as back kibble. Having said that, I haven't actually tried to fiddle with him, I'm basing this on my perception and previous handling of him.ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Not in as many words, but some of your remarks gave me that impression.Rodimus Prime wrote:First, I never said I couldn't understand why other people think he's a good figure.ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:I wonder if anyone's come up with a good one for PotP Grimlock. Oh. Right. I forgot.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:We already got 2 selects Leaders: Shackwave and Star Convoy

Hasbro selects: new head retool at most
Takara: heavy retooling, but more expensive to obtain
Jetfire into Zardak:ZeroWolf wrote:Commander class would be interesting to see but I can't think of anyone they could redeco Jetfire or Sky Lynx into. Their bodies (especially the magnificent sky Lynx) are too much them to be anyone else... Other then Shattered Glass versions.

AcademyofDrX wrote:With the other Seacons, the non-preorder stock didn't go up until well after those waves shipped. I just got Snaptrap today. I also ordered the third pair on TFSource, but only recently, so I'm not sure if I'll get mine fulfilled right away.

Well, both of those are kinda baked into the vintage design; any Grimlock based on it is going to have that some degree or other. Even MP-8 has the dino head flopped on his back. Does it at least have a tab to secure it?Rodimus Prime wrote:Honestly, to me it's just the fact that Grimlock is not like a regular bipedal bot. Possibly. Given that Takara is treating Selects as an extension of UW and Legends, we may even see a Titan-class Selects figure. A bigger, better version of a certain Frail Grail.Rodimus Prime wrote:As for Selects, I wonder, will we get any[...] *gasp* commander class Selects figures?

No, just the generic, they will be shipping soon email. My guess is they ship out this weekend. Most of my recent orders from them have shipped on a Saturday.

More like Fort Max outta Metroplex, and we all know how that turned out.Skritz wrote:Why not? It's similar to how Powermaster Prime/Ginrai was based off CW Ultra Magnus.

By this do you mean Hasbro cannot name a new toy Galaxy Shuttle, or you would just prefer they didn't?
ZeroWolf wrote:I'm siding with Sabrblade on this one. The mold would need reworking from the ground up, so much so it'd be easier just making a new mold. At least that way they could build in the connection ports for Victory Leo. We need Generations Starsaber but not at any cost.
