I'm also looking forward to this potential toy colors repaint of Kingdom Galvatron in Selects. He'll be used as "Galvatron II," a concept from the G1 Marvel Comics that was reused in the Unite Warriors story pages. It remains to be seen, but perhaps Galvatron II is also in Netflix War for Cybertron Trilogy?

Just by way of update, since I don't own them all... have all the Selects that have been announced/pre-ordered/produced so far released, with the exception of the TT Volcanicus and Abominus?

The SG Ratchet/Optimus 2-pack, and the Takara Soundblaster (which is more of a half-qualifier since it's only a Takara Selects in Hasbro's markets while Japan is getting it as a normal Siege release exclusive to TakaraTomy Mall) aren't out yet.

thanks both for the updates. I figure once we get closer to all of them being released is when announcements will start for the next wave.

I forgot all about the SG release...I thought that was Amazon for some reason.

Makes sense. I also did some searching and found a couple of the usual Youtube early reviewers had the SG bots as well. Nobody seems to have Soundblaster Yet. But as Sabre said, that is a TT Selecs, we know those are pretty mush always delayed by a couple months at least.

Volcanicus date is currently 02/27/21
Abominus date is 03/27/21
Soundblasters date is currently 3/27/21

A Minimum of 6-8 weeks delay after these dates is what I'm expecting.

According to Hasbro Pulse, the SG 2-pack isn't due for release from them until February.

There's also a second run of the Selects cassettes set that Pulse has coming in February, but the initial run has been out for months, so that probably wasn't what you were looking for.

Which probably means they'll start shipping it this month, considering how most all the other Pulse Selects releases have gone.

Yes, he was created in the Return of Convoy Manga which would have been the "8th season" of the original animated series in Japan if it had gone on into 1991.

Nah, he's been sold out for a while. Pulse made a big deal today out of him coming back in stock, giving Premium members a 3 hour window to order him before non members could. If you watch their back in stock page you can see when stuff has been restocked.

Can you really count Zone asa season though? It was a one episode OVA, so you'd have to be pretty loose with definitions to call it a season.

As for the original question, yes, he absolutely counts.

My apologies. I got the back in stock notice back on 12/26, but didn't get another one today for some reason. I don't follow the page on a regular basis, and I guess email lists vary who they send to.

It's debatable. If you include all the Zone Manga there was probably enough material for a few more episodes. But if Transformers hadn't been winding down as a Brand, the toy lines for 90/91 even in Japan would have been more robust, and probably would have still been animated rather than downgraded to being told through Manga.

When I say they made a big deal about it I might be exaggerating a little. They did make a big deal about all of today's restocks being available exclusively to Premium members for 3 hours, but not Super Megatron specifically. And they kinda buried that announcement in a Fan First Friday email about Ghostbusters. They probably should have given it its own email to draw attention to it.
