And worst of all, her iconic "wings" are gone. That's like making a new G1 police car Prowl without door wings.
Let's be honest, the "G1 style" for Arcee as they are calling it, is mostly to stop the lunatics on Twitter from REEEEEEEEEEing about how robots shouldn't look feminine. Companies care more about the opinions on twitter than they care about the fan bases, just like Corporate entertainment (like Disney) does.

Indeed.
And the more I see these "activists" cry, the more I see corporate bending the knee to them, the more I see things for what it is: a genuine WAR against women and feminity.
Men and masculinity were beaten up for years. Now it's the female's turn.
As if they want the whole of society to resemble and think like Cybermen.

I grant you that her previous toys were better. I agree with the greater point that the latest stabs at G1-ifying TFs haven't done it for me. I liked Gen Lugnut back in the day and Lockdown. It brought them in without sacrificing their essentials.
I don't think they're trying to appease Twitter. I just think their G1-ifying style is all wrong.

however, I like how they've designed this figure as a motorcycle tf, it's very masterful.
I mentioned it earlier, but how would people feel if this was supposed to be rid strongarm?

So we're taking all of these characters from all of these different continuities, and we're trying to, like, almost like, place them into a universe of their own, which is basically Legacy. And, of course, having, like, a heavy G1 influence because, you know, I love G1, so."

I will refer you back to the original prototype of Model kit Flame Toys made for Windblade and the psycho's on twitter having a melt down over her robot butt. There's not anything imaginary about it.
Edit to add, also the Arcee Statue Prototype from, was it imaginex, that was shown for their high end series. Twitter and tumblr lunatics also complained about her being overly feminine and sexualized.
And I will note it's never been released.

I really, really doubt that's the case. The simplest solution is often the correct one, and the simplest solution here is what Sabrblade posted. The designs have been G1'fied to go better with what came before in an effort to get more money. That's it, there's no twitter mob gunning for Prime Arcee I mean we just had Earthrise Arcee and Masterpiece Arcee with no problems (other then bad design work).

But you remember what also was announced around the same time as MP Arcee? the Ex-o1 Nicee, where once more we heard the twitter mobs REEEEEEEEEEing again because she was so sexualized. why do you pervert fan boys have to keep sexualizing robots?
We can give you examples of what happened and you can choose to pretend it's nothing while corporations make decisions based off stuff like that.
If you're lucky it wont affect your favorite characters.

Skids looks pretty good, about what I'd expect from a Skids. And as I've wanted a decent Skids for a while now, I'm on board. Love the boxy little kei car mode.
Bulkhead I wasn't sold on at first, but you know what, he's grown on me! He looks like a nice solid chunky robot, and his truck mode looks like a fun, functional vehicle. Shame he's more Prime than Animated, but oh well.
Arcee looks mediocre. The bike mode is nice (though the robot mode butt ending up right in front of the seat is hilariously inappropriate- seems you really do "ride" her) but the robot mode is a bit bleh. The headsculpt is alright but the torso looks oddly flat. And I don't just mean her lack of, uh, fuel transfer tanks; her entire torso looks oddly squished. Also that gun is TRASH. Might get her to make into someone else, we'll see.
Kickback looks awesome, and I can't wait to see the other Insecticons. Love the front leg/arm transformation. I kinda wish his wings were chrome or at least silver though.
Dragstrip looks really nice! I already have the CW G2 Menasor set (and a single CW Dragstrip...somhow), and Dragstrip was a pretty good CW figure, but I'm tempted; if the combined mode isn't overly Sunbow I might be on board. ("Gee Evil Eye, how come you get TWO Menasors?")
Laser Prime looks awesome and I can't wait to see the Scourge version. Interesting how it uses the ER legs.
Galvatron is a cool idea and I like the line paint apps, but he needed the same colours on his cannon IMO. As is he kinda looks like a... "stress relief toy". Also kinda funny how he has two guns shaped like the Revenge, and then just straight up comes with a model of the Revenge that's more or less the same size as the guns.
Yeah, overall I'm actually quite pleased with how Legacy is looking!

While I think that Arcee came out better then Bulkhead, I'm not going to disparage those that want either/both of them. We all have our collecting habits after all.

As RID Strongarm, it would work beautifully. Strongarm is a THICC mamma and as a police bike with those proportions, it would be perfect.
But as RID Arcee, appart the colors there's NO callback to the original unlike Bulkhead who somehow works.

As far as the culture war part goes, with the influence and leanings that social media sites like Twitter have, any female character that comes out "buff" from here on out (with the occasional exception) will have the motives for her design called into question.

That is very little. Where did you get the number?
I've been told that one can apparently check quantities of items for sale on Hasbro Pulse by looking through the order page's code via F12, but I haven't been able to figure that trick out myself yet.
Ah ok, so that's the amount available in the US alone, makes more sense.
