There's always the red and blue ones that came with the Tricranius set.

And, are blast effects even a thing anymore in Legacy?

Very true, but no three faces or double turret tank. Closest thing would be if an upgrade kit comes out but even then

Good point, I'm not sure that they are. The rereleases will still be bloosh compatible as emgo would say, but im not sure about the rest

Got to see the Jiaxus pictures and I gotta ask.

Is this weirdness his very own thing, or is he a "pretool" of some other character like so many Legacy figures are? :-?

I thought Tarantulas looked a little off proportion-wise but after looking at some screenshots, he’s not that far off. The mold does a pretty good job of covering the robot parts. He’s the only one I’m considering getting. Just not interested in the rest.

Only for the legs, it seems. And this whole CW compatibility is just a guess/assumption. We can't know for sure if it's the exact same peg sizes. Could be like an Airlock situation where Hasbro uses different dimension for a similar system making the Earthrise bases incompatible with the TR bases.

The jet mode is very much his own thing. They could reuse the engineering for something else but I wager a lot of this figure will remain unique to him.

The jet mode is SCREAMING to me remold as Armada Thrust, the red nose lines up well with the dimensions of Thrusts noggin and the sides look an awful lot like how AT's feet flanked the jet cockpit, but this IS meant to be Jhaxius

It was confirmed as a retool of Jazz during the stream.

Jhiaxus retooled into Armada Thrust, I can actually see that, but would they make a Voyager Thrust? :-?

And I’m sure it wasn’t possible, but that would probably look tons better if the form of the car was complimented with one main color (and then maybe a small accent here or there).
Her bot mode looks fine, although is a few photos her head looks so big, it makes it look like a kid version of her character.

I honestly laughed out loud when I saw the vehicle mode, as the colours are so very, very p*ss-poor. It was interesting that the Hasbro bloke gushed that this was the first "genuine" mold designed for Elita, even though it's a remold of Minerva that's been released first (a premold).

The car shell is new (and rather beautiful) but he reuses Jazz' transformation and many robot mode parts which make them end up looking rather similar in robot mode, which we knew would happen from his comic look.

Honestly, the Jazz mold was never one of my favourites, it's just ok. Same with SS 86 Blurr. I think of all the SS 86 deluxes, Kup is the best.

Anyways, here is a look at Jazz and Knockout.

Thrust is usually a voyager, as are seekers, these days. Him not being a voyager would be more odd for me.

I have to admit, I think I let myself be overexcited by the very Elita robot mode parts and the fake head on the roof of the car.

I think I still want it, though.

I don't understand the complaints about Elita 1 having multi colors in her car mode when people gush over other cars doing the same thing. It's not like the the two tones follow the individual parts, they follow an actual pattern they built into the figure. For example the two tone front fender is not where a red part and a pink part come together, it's a single part intentionally colored in two tones. This isn't like the Siege ER Lambos that had those black PLA parts on the sides that couldn't be painted over.

Image

Personally I think she looks good two toned because that's how all of the past G1 Elita's have been, why would they stop now? I don't think she looks like a clown car at all.

I really hope when she's tooled into Minerva she stays a Headmaster. Also I'm going to save the shoulder pilon gimmick for Minerva, I'm going to keep them folded away like we were shown on the stream for Elita. I imagine some of the car parts for Minerva will be altered as well, maybe rounder in the front like the original, a lot of the bot parts will need to be changed as well since the upside down T is part of Elita's design.

Elita is the only one I am getting.
Disappointed with how Knockout turned out. A retool of Jazz I understand but, they could have made him less blocky.
Betting that Menasor will come in a boxed set like the POTP Dinobots or SS Devastator and with extras.

PotP Dinobots only came as a TT Selects almost 3 years after their release initially. I'm not sure what else TT could add? I would definitely get a box set if released this way. Since I'm not too keen on getting the Stunticons again, waiting for a box set might actually work in my favor this time, and if it doesn't happen, so be it. No big loss.

Thanks to Will and whoever else helped news Target's preorder link for Motormaster...
I still can't believe how horrible their website is... What a joke.

But between the $10 off $50 promotional sale, having a Redcard, and a $10 giftcard I forgot about, I'm getting him (as long as it actually happens) for $67.46!!

Next issue... Do I double-dip on this set and keep my preorder with Amazon.......... ????

Taking a close look at the Tarantulus images, It looks as if the spider legs will not move independently. All four legs, on each side, seem to be immobile where they join to the spider body. The joints in the middle of each leg are ball sockets.

That may mean he won't be as poseable as I thought.

MM, Blitzwing, Knockout and Tarantulas pre-orders have been placed. Wild-Rider is not available to pre-order outside of the U.S it seems. Will have to wait for that one.

MM says he'll be shipped in December. That's a long wait. But... hopefully they'll ship him before that as has happened with other preorders.

It seems recently that when a toy is an All new mold, Hasbro makes sure to let us know. If it is a recolor or retool, they of course try to spin it in the best way possible. I get it, not judging.

However...it appears Tarantulas has some shared engineering, perhaps even the arachnid legs with Kingdom Scorponok, or am I just imagining? I don't seem to remember the presenter firmly stating one way or another if it was all new, or not.

Also seeing the live chat reaction to a cleaned up Siege Soundwave ( as opposed to the Netflix cassette player everyone was hoping for) was brutal... :-s

I'm sure it was...
I wasn't surprised it wasn't a Prime version, but man, repacking the Siege mold is one of those decisions that must have a lot of people in disbelief. I was honestly ready to get another copy of the NF mold...
The only way I'll buy this "new" Legacy version is if I can get it for < $20.
And no, I'm not expecting that to actually happen.

So during yesterday's new reveal fervor, two leaks/rumors were updated in ways that are suddenly relevant, that I missed due to said fervor (although had I copied them over yesterday, they probably would have been buried anyway). The one of note for this thread: the Amazon-exclusive Wreckers repaints will have the Diaclone decos for the Jumpstarters, not the Saltman decos.

The main reason this is relevant is that this showed up on TFW:
01-Wrecker-Jumpstarter.png

Unless I'm seeing things, I think that's actually the Wreckers badge on him instead of a typical Autobadge, which will be interesting if that's the case for all of those Wreckers releases.

Interesting. Need to see more of these guys. But may break down and buy these since I never got the TR Jump Starters, and been wanting them since eI did own them as a kid in the 80s.

Retool or no I think it actually looks pretty good and almost hardly noticeable, I didn't notice anyways, if anything I'd hare thought it was an older sculpt due to how drastic the front end looks. Now I have no interest in the character so I won't be buying it, but I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't tempted simply by how cool he looks.

Personally speaking I think if they're going to make Prime characters they should probably stick to the aesthetic of the show and stay true the the character look. Although I guess by doing this they can sell it to a broader audience?
