I'm totally missing where that section of the trailer goes in the combiner. From the pics and rendering, it looks like it's not used. Possible that it become a cover for the back?

This was the same thing that happened to me... Saw 1 Arcee on the pegs at my closest Target over 3 weeks ago...
Since then, I've seen 1-2 at different stores, and other than her, a couple Skids.
So of course the deluxes I actually want-- Kickback and Dragstrip --have eluded me.

1. Not developing for backwards compatibility is dumb given Menasor's nature. I bet Takara are annoyed.
I dunno. Their designer seemed awfully proud of it in his reveal video. Seems like they would have instructed him to make them compatible if that's what they wanted.

his pride was infectous.

Never? Kinda hard to do since jets aren't known for having trailers.

MadProject wrote:yeah, I think too that, in case of a new Superion, Silverbolt would be a Leader class, with some more mass than the CW and the combiner parts included.
Emerje wrote:Yeah, Leader makes more sense, though there's still the question of just how they bulk up the jet without going all Blitzwing on it, still having a "Voyager" sized bot mode, and get a combiner torso that feels on par with Menasor. It's a difficult balancing act. Motormaster works because you can take off all the combiner parts and still have a truck, can't do that with a giant Commander class jet.
Then there's the problem with the limbs, Hasbro doesn't seem to like doing Deluxe jets any more, but I'm not against it.

o.supreme wrote:I don't know where the misconception is coming from that are going to do all the combiners all over again? I mean I get that they are trying to correct Menasor because of fan overall dissatisfaction. But that really wasn't the case for most other combiners. No reason to reinvent the concept all over again, unless it is for combiners that haven't been developed in the Generations line yet ( see my wish list).

What would be your preference for a monstructor release? Spread out through the year or a Titan Class boxset? Though at least they have retool potential built in.

D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Having just read your post soundwave76, I am going to throw this out there:
I do not believe Commander should be used for 2 bots that otherwise could fall into voyager slots. I really don't think we need to go bigger than voyager class for a G1 Constructicon, and I would like them to follow suit to what SS did: space it out over 2 years, 3 voyager wave each year with 1 constructicon. That allows for something not G1 Constructicon per wave, and allows you to enjoy each individual for a good period of time before (almost inevitably) they are combined and remain that way forever more.
Part of this stems from the fact that I think we just proved here that there are far more options than a 2-pack of Constructicons for the Commander Price point. I point part of this exasperation towards the fact that Studio Series has not given us a non-SS86 or Bee movie voyager since Skipjack in Fall 2020, and the next Bayverse voyager isn't expected until Fall of this year, 2 years difference in the "live-action movie line". Couple that with Dinobots, and you can track that line of thinking of letting something sit for a year or 2 needlessly. I would rather sacrifice 2 voyager slots that will share a wave with a non-G1 character and still have that option to pushing something like say an Armada Tidal Wave or Prime Predaking back a full year.
Part of that also comes with how they did SS Devastator. That worked out perfectly for his release. They could have done him in 2 waves, but they didn't, they spread him out, and I will say that was far more rewarding than all at once. Plus, they are using that route for Legacy Menasor, so they clearly saw it too.
Finally, we are in agreeance over non-updated guys getting priority over redos of something not even 10 years old that still hold up i.e. Superion. I think CW Devastator is still very good, and am in no rush to see him get updated again when other options are available.
If we would get 1 combiner a year or every other year, spaced out with releases, I would be satisfied with that route. We don't need a CW line again, we can take the time and put it out alongside other things as well.
