I never, ever saw any Commanders at Walmart too. Just online, my local geek store, and at Toys R Us.
Right now, you can still find Rodimus Prime in TrU's brick and mortar stores on clearance at 84$CAN. Strangely, I never saw Motormaster in a TrU store.
Motormaster sold like crazy in Canada. Looks like people were ok with that $140 price.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

Isn't that the rule for 99% of the transformers ever released?

Maybe, but not to this extreme…
Most artwork stays pretty close to the actual figure designs, maybe hiding hollowness/gaps…
But that Leo artwork is a fully organic-looking lion, appearing like something from a movie or tv show…
And in comparison, that figure is nowhere even close.

We had three Stunticons in a wave during Combiner Wars. I understand variety and diversity, but then we end up with situations where a number of people will never have a complete Menasor.

While I wasn't looking for Jetfire, mainly because I didn't know anything about him until it was too late. I stopped playing wild goose hunt for stuff long ago, if I can't find it in a logical location near actual like product then I don't find it. Now I'll look on the overhead above said section as well as the whole AF isle just in case, or even behind other products. But going into the doll section or bike accessories feels like a fools errand and often just a waste of my time. I've rarely ever found what I'm looking for in a completely different section/area. Aside from something that looked discarded on the way to somewhere else.
Also how do you "miss" a Commander Class box? I can understand a DLX or core being lost somewhere out of place but the size box of a CC isn't something you would generally look over and not see. lol
As I've said I haven't seen a CC in a store since 2019 and any time I've ever gone into a Walmart they've had almost zero product for pretty much any product I was looking for, other than core class which doesn't interest me. Maybe it was simply due to the fact someone else was more dialed into shipments and got there before me every time and bought what little they did get in. IDK..
I can understand why some Walmart stores in certain high theft areas would pass on such an expensive item and just not carry it, that might be why some could find him either.

Please don't. I did finally break down and buy from a UK seller because it was the cheapest and I figured if I don't do it now he'll only clime in price. Or I'll have to wait for some variation in a different packaging. Luckily I had some PayPal Money I didn't even know about/forgotten so I figured why not if it's not technically out of pocket.
you gotta do what you gotta do with some Bots and Cosmos is one of those for me.

Well - for my sake, I hope Hasbro repents and does a re-issue, so those of us who aren't willing to pay the Ebay/overseas markup can get this figure.
But on the other hand, that would mean folks like you, who DID pay the scalper prices, would wind up eating the difference. The way it's going, some people are bound to get scroo'd....
