Wouldn't that just be Titans Return Skullcruncher without the Titan Master gimmick? Since Cyberverse Skullcruncher just aped its design whole-cloth directly from the Titans Return toy.-Kanrabat- wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:Maybe it really is alligator Optimus?
That would actually be awesome. And this one could be a pretool of Cyberverse Universe Skullcruncher.

The current Hasbro team does not use non-Generations molds in the Generations toylines.-Kanrabat- wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Wouldn't that just be Titans Return Skullcruncher without the Titan Master gimmick? That TR Skully wouldn't work.
What would be better to use as a base is the stellar Cyberverse Ultra Skullcruncher. Remove the gimmick, fill in the hollow spaces and you'll end up with something awesome.

Studio Series is a Generations line.Razorbeast88 wrote:I dont think they would reuse a Cyberverse figure, but studio series arcee was used for the legacy javelin exclusive if you count that as an exception

Though it does also show the figure posed with the front end as the chest which looks better to me, I'm actually not a fan of the Crankcase mold. So that's one reason it doesn't interest me, the second is that it's not a Protectobot I would want to have. I'd prefer the original team members Blades and Groove over any of them, First Aid and Streetwise just look too similar to Rachet and Prowl. Alt mode that is.
I mean fine if it appeals to those who really need this repaint, and it being an exclusive doesn't affect the main line in anyway. It just feels to me like a lot of "Fringe" stuff is getting done that possibly no one is asking for over Bots that are actually requested/wanted and needed. Also, some of these repaints aren't all that accurate to the actual design/model of car so it feels even less desirable.
The listing on Hasbro Pulse says it belongs to the series named "The Transformers", which is G1. It's G1 Medix, the same guy first created at BotCon 2016. RB Medix went on to have a completely different look, role, and personality when he made his fictional debut in the Rescue Bots Academy cartoon, which ignored his first two toy designs in favor of a whole new one. G1 Medix, however, takes inspiration from RB Medix's second discarded design (as that was the most recent Medix design at the time of BotCon 2016, since RBA didn't exist yet).Till-all-R1 wrote:So basically this is one of those "vague" releases with ambiguity as to where it actually fits? Walgreens seems to now only want medical or rescue characters, and the bigger names like Ratchet and Red Alert have already been done. So Hasbro's now having to look to lesser known ones like Minerva and Medix.Till-all-R1 wrote:I mean fine if it appeals to those who really need this repaint, and it being an exclusive doesn't affect the main line in anyway. Also laughable, we are already getting 2024 line stuff from Amazon, but no Target or Walmart near me has anything from the last 2 waves of Evolution, and many Walmarts still have 2022 product on the shelves... Hasbro had a good idea when they started with PotP, and carrying through WFC; changing the UPC code each year. I wonder why they dropped it for Legacy?

I've seen Deluxe wave 4 stocked twice now at my local Walmart (which also put out yet another box of G2 Deluxe figures for I think the 5th time now), but have never seen wave 3 in stores and barely online. Wave 3 seems to be wave that got short changed this time around.
