Transformers Legacy Line Discussion

Comic double pack alt modes are pretty bad too, dont really remeber flame from the comics so I can probably skip on them.
GObots three pack is a must even if it is selects and not legacy.
Liking the colors of buzzsaw but those cassette bots including ravage are pretty much garbage and definitely not making soundwave worth leader pricing.
G1 Optimus looks good but I dont remmeber the G1 toy being that crazy size wise to newer deluxes.
Motormaster looks great but would then be needing his team mates and all the third party gubbins to get it to combine

[edit] I know everybody here probably subscribes to the newsletter of many sites selling Tf toys, but why was there no news about the new MPGs toys in homepage? That already happened with Trainbots variants a while ago...

I would love a comic deco Soundwave, with or without minions.
I really want that Motormaster, but I would need the rest of them, hopefully with the ability to combine. But nothing about MM indicates that he will. The originals never did either.
The comic 2 pack is alright, I have zero regard for Flame, if I get the set I might just have him stand in as IDW Rodimus. Xaaron I do like, I just wish he was a voyager. He'll look funny standing next to leader Selects Galvatron.
Armada Galvatron should be able to combine with Tidal Wave as well?

'Cos honestly I'm more interested in the minions than in Soundwave himself. And can we have the late-G1 minions too, pretty please?

Although I think those must have mostly passed me by at the time, don't recall seeing them on shelves over here. Should have remembered them though, now you mention them.
So I'll change my ask: How about a repackage to go with your new Soundwave release, Hasbro?

One of the two packs were hard to find if I remember correctly. If, IF we're getting a SS86 Soundwave my gut tells me that they'll redo Ravage, Laserbeak, and Ratbat for the release.

But at least we’re finally getting Buzzsaw.
Another grip I had was a Rumble recolor when we could have gotten someone else. I mean since it's not SS86 they literally could have gone with any number of more obscure Cassettes.
That said, I do kind of like this recolor more. Still it's annoying having to buy $35-55 figures just to get all the variant tapes. Guess I should have kept Laserbeak but here I thought they might updated that mold since the old 2-pk. I sold Netflix Soundwave because I thought it too was getting a new mold. lol
Oh well, better luck next time. Maybe the 50th will bring some good things and I'll simply be too old to care anymore.

That Siege 2-pack was made for the Siege Soundwave, so it's the same size as the newly announced cassettes. And it says Rumble on the package, but that's "toy colors" Frenzy... If I were to get those sets and the new Legacy leader, that would cover all the main character cassettes.

Speculation based on the design team saying they want another crack at Soundwave to make him the same height as Blaster.

Yeah, he isn't listed for 2025 unless they surprise us.
Speaking of surprises, the most refreshing thing about these reveals is that aside from the GoBots nothing was leaked from the factory ahead of time, everything was a first look. That's so rare!

And when they talked about a SS86 Soundwave that one time in a livestream, it was Evan being hypothetical, using "if": "If we were to do a SS86 Soundwave, we'd make him a new taller mold to match Blaster's height." And it's not the first time he's spoken hypothetically like that, as he's also spoken of how "if" they wanted to do something like make a SS86 Grapple, they could "if" they wanted to (and which would likely just be a minor redeco of Earthrise Grapple), or how "if" they wanted to make a SS86 Astrotrain, it would just be a redeco of Siege Astrotrain. All those "ifs" and uncertainties were him just spit-balling, not speaking of any real guarantees.Emerje wrote:TF-fan kev777 wrote:Rtron wrote:Is there a listing for an 86 Soundwave? Was I right about the parts forming at least? I don't see how they get from the legs to the arms since treads weren't a part of the original mold.

I thought this was a weird flex considering these are 4 5 and 6 of Gobots in Generations since Siege respectively. Why is this a big deal now (other than needing to make sure the sales are good so they can make more GoBots)?

I still say he should be a taller figure, With that alt mode, he should've been a retooled Megatron or another tank. I'm still getting him, but I can't wait to see how ridiculous he looks next to Selects Galvatron.Sabrblade wrote:
