Animated had 2. one was o.k, the other was impossible to get and had the black goo all over him. But the mold was pretty good.

I think that's all of them outside of Cyberverse and 2015 R.I.D.

Someone will no doubt correct me if I missed one.

Well you did miss the First Edition one and the video game ones. I would also consider a lot of those better then just ok.

This is true,

WFC less than stellar. FOC, was just o.k.

Ahh Never owned the SDCC deluxe prime prime. Was it good?
It's an okay figure. A little odd in its proportions, but overall not bad.

RID15 Warrior class Optimus is trash. Or at least, the normal one is. I never got the retooled winged one.

Cyberverse Deluxe Optimus is okay. Never got any of the Warrior class versions.

EarthSpark Deluxe Optimus is also okay. Never got the Warrior class version either.

I really love the retooled winged RID Prime. They even retooled the front of the truck so that you have a better bot mode aesthetic with the hands and shoulders.

And Earthspark Warrior Prime is waaaaaaay better than I would have ever expected from that class. It's a surprisingly solid toy. Nothing amazing, it's very standard. But it's a standard no nonsense Prime toy which costs less than a deluxe figure. It's a toy I'd happily recomend to any parent as an Optimus toy for their kids.

The Cyberverse warrior however is one of the worse prime toys to have ever been made. It is bafflingly bad.

I'm very excited to get Slipstream and Quake, especially to replace their past figures I own (Legends and Titans Return respectively)
As much as I LOVE the Targetmasters, I do think Quake's alt mode is a bit...jank. I guess I can blame that on wanting to avoid looking too much like a Leopard tank lol, and maybe the fault of the Skullgrin mold as well. I still like it, though, so hmph, more money outta me!

New Reveals: Geocron, Comic Edition Xaaron and Flame, 2 Galvatrons and More!

Postby william-james88 » Thu Jun 13, 2024 7:19 am

Motto: "'till All Are One"
Hasbro wasn't kidding when they said they had lots of reveals for us this week. Thanks to a variety of sources, including youtube's Sixo, we now have our first or best looks yet at:

- Comic Edition Xaaron and Flame, based on the Refraktor and GE Megatron molds respectively
- Metalhawk as a package refresh with slightly different colours
- Core class Energon Galvatron
- Core class Geocron, which is a redeco of Bouldercrash with a new head straight out of the JG1 Headmasters episode featuring the inhabitants of planet Daira
- Leader class Armada Galvatron

Preorders for several of these, should be up at 1 pm Eastern Time on Pulse.

Hi Transformer fans,

As promised, here’s a look at the upcoming core class figures: Geocron and Galvatron!

Geocron is a redeco of our previous Bouldercrash figure but with a new head that is straight out of the JG1 Headmasters episode featuring the inhabitants of planet Daira.

Galvatron is a redeco as well; one that I think a lot of folks were waiting for after we announced the Energon Megatron. We followed the anime for the coloring which is why he has the silver crown and slightly blue face.

Please have a look at the photos attached and I made sure to snap a pic of them next to their counterparts.

Thanks for popping by,

-Evan

On to the Voyagers!! I’ll start with this dashing package refresh of Legacy United Metalhawk! But, whats this, I was able to switch colors to the more vibrant toy pretender shell!?!?

So as you all know this fierce hunk was a partial tooling off of the Cyclonus mold and the homey naveskoorb got to work on the development of this dude. For those of you who don’t know, our Evan Brooks is somewhat of a Japanese guru when it comes to TF. His knowledge and passion towards the brand is a blessing to us all!

Now I know what yall gonna say, that gold doesn’t match the og toy! Egads and gadzooks man Markclonus screwed us again!! honestly molded plastic gold is kind of a headache in production and there is only a few pantone golds I know are solid in terms of color pop and longevity. So much like alot of things on the brand, I turn to my gut to guide the way! Also, since we usually don’t get to change colors on a package refresh of an item, I had to keep it really close to the first release, but I thought it was important for a variant release of this guy! Great figure!

To note, all the colors here are accurate and I don’t have in hand samples unfortunately to do a posed out posting.

But what I can promise you is this, another voyager reveal tomorrow!!! hooray!

Well I do like some Galvatrons & haven't gotten those molds yet so they'll probably be some pick ups for me.

The comics stuff I've been skipping so far because it just hasn't been anything I've had a reason to want & I don't know who Flame is, but he's looks basically like a tank Rodimus so I have add him to even growing Rodimus fleet. Plus Xaaron looks a little fun too.

Xaaron! Yes! These last few years have been pretty good for comicbook characters. Now let's hope they do a Sentinel Prime eventually.

Seriously, that weird little zombie story is one of my quirky favourites from TFUK. And my Impactor needs a Xaaron to yell at.

Man, all of this new stuff have me really excited. Well, a little less excited about the second "toy colors" Metal Hawk just being "the same but brighter because the shell is brighter". Hopefully the gold really is darker.

So looking at Xaaron, I really have to wonder if he's a pre-tool of our upcoming Deluxe Megatron in Studio Series in December. Him and Megatron have similar chests in the comic and Megatron does typically have a tank mode, plus I bet you can peg that canon to the forearm, it would be a smart reuse. We still don't know what the "HM" in "HM Megatron" means (can't be High Moon, we already got that).

Looking forward to seeing how many repaints of Prime we end up getting. Does he have a trailer hitch, I can't tell? Shame his hands appear to be molded to the wrist and painted blue. I hope the back of the box is the accurate colors he mentioned, I really don't like the speckled gray, I want them to use the good silver plastic on him.

There was a deluxe Megatron too? Because the listing I remember for next year's Studio Series was a Leader.
As for Prime, Mark said in his post that he has "the ability to hitch to multiple trailers", so I'm guessing it's got the hitch. He also said the toy in the pictures is a test shot and colors may vary, that they were trying to get as close as possible to the g1 toy's colors, so there's hope there.

Disappointing that this new Soundwave doesn’t have retooled forearms.
But at least we’re finally getting Buzzsaw.

Yes, but like I said, it's part of the December wave so still 2024 while Leader Megatron is July 2025.

As for Prime, Mark said in his post that he has "the ability to hitch to multiple trailers", so I'm guessing it's got the hitch.

Oops, guess I glossed over that part. Can't really see it in any of the shots.

He also said the toy in the pictures is a test shot and colors may vary, that they were trying to get as close as possible to the g1 toy's colors, so there's hope there.

Yes, that's what I meant by "I hope the back of the box is the accurate colors he mentioned".

More reveals:

Animated Motormaster- https://www.instagram.com/p/C8KEsDSO6Yi/?img_index=1
Leader Soundwave- https://www.instagram.com/p/C8KUDDTuLtU/?img_index=1

Soundwave is about as boring of a repaint as you can get, basically just the Dramatic Capture Soundwave with Netflix Ravage, Buzzsaw (from the Netflix Laserbeak) and Core Frenzy Rumble in toy colors. Hope people weren't too set on this including Slugfest and Overkill! But I think we all knew this was the most likely outcome. I only want Buzzsaw and once again they split up the Frenzy and Rumble!

Wow, Flame and Xaaron were not on my list of expected reveals, but holy crap! Flame is absolutely perfect, this is going to be a must buy for me the second those preorders go up. Xaaron isn’t as “sleek” as I imagined a toy version of him would be, but it hardly matters.

Let’s hope some other comic series get some attention, I’m still waiting for a mainline Nautica (or any other Camiens for that matter)

Toy colors for Rumble. Sure, okay.

I guess I'm paying leader class price for Buzzsaw. On the other hand maybe this version of Soundy won't yellow.

Flame and Xaaron are kinda what I expected TBH. I dunno why. I'll nab 'em.

I'm in the same boat on Buzzsaw, except I'm going to force myself to wait and hope for a sale at Target whenever they arrive in stores. Hopefully they should be pretty well stocked sicne this should be the wave coming out ahead of Christmas.
